Information icon Hi UltimateDisco! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Template:Beyoncé several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Template talk:Beyoncé, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. --woodensuperman 09:38, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I've provided my argumentation for keeping Beyoncé's soundtracks visible on my edit and you simply ignored it without addressing none of the points I brought.
You need to deal with the arguments in a rational manner, otherwise, we won't be able to move forward.
Please take your time to study Beyoncé's soundtracks (and compare them to other music artists soundtracks to see the parellels) before you simply edit them out of existence. UltimateDisco (talk) 10:36, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It was not ignored, it was detailed carefully on the talk page. I have also debunked your parallels with other musical artists' soundtracks. --woodensuperman 11:04, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Soundtracks that don’t include Beyoncé as a “lead artist” should not be in the infobox. an infobox is purely for article navigation purposes. the Madonna albums you’re quoting were marketed as Madonna albums (soundtrack album by Madonna), where Madonna performed about 50% or more of the material. same for Lady Gaga’s infobox (she’s credited as lead artist for the Top Gun Maverick soundtrack).
The soundtracks you’re trying to add were “various artists” soundtracks, with Beyoncé included as part of the film’s ensemble, and is performer on about less than 50% of the soundtrack. that’s why woodensuperman removed all the soundtracks but not The Gift - it’s the only soundtrack that fits the infobox criteria (lead artist & is a performer on a majority the album). TenthAvenueFreezeOut (talk) 22:30, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
On Madonna’s Whos That Girl she sings less than 50% of the album (4 tracks out of 9) and the album was marketed as an OST from the film with her face on the cover (like Cadillac Records)
The Bodyguard was 6 tracks Whitney out of 13 total. and nobody will never say it’s not a Whitney soundtrack. Waiting to Exhale has even less Whitney tracks in it.
Evita and Dreamgirls is self explanatory.
The list goes on…
You CLEARLY don’t know the albums you are editing out and it shows. I’m done here. You won. Less music visible. UltimateDisco (talk) 00:06, 8 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Template:Beyoncé. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Use the talk page!!!! --woodensuperman 10:44, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

What about you using the talk page(!!!!) to explain why you want to REMOVE Beyoncé's music albums from her discography?
I'll ask for page protection from vandalism if you keep on REMOVING albums without a solid reason. UltimateDisco (talk) 10:51, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Try looking at the talk page where I have detailed exactly why these soundtracks are not appropriate. Please also familiarise yourself woth WP:NOTVANDALISM --woodensuperman 10:54, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to assume bad faith when dealing with other editors, as you did at Template:Beyoncé, you may be blocked from editing. Assume that they are here to improve rather than harm Wikipedia. Please do not call things vandalism when they are WP:NOTVANDALISM --woodensuperman 10:56, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
