The article Shampoo (Italian band) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to meet WP:NMG.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stifle (talk) 15:08, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Shampoo (parody band), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Nowhere Man and No Reply (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Nomination of Pink Project for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Pink Project is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pink Project until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:20, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I honestly cannot see why you removed all of the material I added. The source for all of it is Eric Clapton himself, in an interview with producer Simon Climie which is contained on an USB drive - included within the album's deluxe edition, which I own. What source could be more reliable than the artist himself? Ugo1970 (talk) 00:46, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You did not mark that as a source for every paragraph, only a few. TheAwesomeHwyh (talk) 00:50, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oh and I'm not even sure how one would source that, I'd look around in the templates. TheAwesomeHwyh (talk) 00:51, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

References for Elio e le Storie Tese

[edit]

Hi Ugo. In your last edits on the Elio e le Storie Tese article, you added two sentences that needs supporting references. These are Fegiz's statement about "Arrivedorci" being their ugliest song and Elio's (sarcastic) statement about their efforts to classify last. I searched for such references myself to no avail. Can you point at the sources from which you drew such information? I am afraid we would have to remove those statements if we weren't able to find supporting references. Thanks, --Tanonero (msg) 15:23, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Those statements were both made during the last "Dopofestival" of 2018 - the late-night talk show after the Festival itself. It was not a press conference, it was Elio replying to Fegiz. Unfortunately that specific Dopofestival issue is not online any longer.Ugo1970 (talk) 17:11, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Ugo1970: I see, thanks. In here there are 5 Dopofestival 2018 episodes. Do you think those statements can be found in one of these episodes? Tanonero (msg) 17:37, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think they are in the last episode. Ugo1970 (talk) 20:29, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again, Ugo. In "Born to Be Abramo" I found a some unsourced information that will need to be removed if we don't provide inline citations for them. For starters, could you provide a reference for the following statement: "The voice belongs to producer Claudio Dentes's Filipino butler, known as "Tremoto", whose introduction for the band (in his own language) was used on their first album"? --Tanonero (msg) 20:47, 31 May 2019 (UTC) PS: More generally, I reiterate the invitation made to you by @TheAwesomeHwyh: to cite sources multiple times, namely for each of the statements they can support. --Tanonero (msg) 20:55, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Ugo1970: Hi, Ugo, I'd like to invite you to read WP:CITE as you have again added statements that need a supporting sources to be validated. In particular, bear in mind that "Wikipedia's verifiability policy requires inline citations for any material challenged or likely to be challenged, and for all quotations, anywhere in article space." In your last edit on İtalyan, rum casusu çikti, you added several of such unsourced statements. Examples are: "telling a well-known joke, which was already quite old at the time", "(a possible reference to closeted homosexuality)", "A very complex prog rock song with several time signature changes", etc. There are several more, but I think you get the gist. All these statements will be removed unless precise supporting references will be added. Next time try to work with this in mind rather than winding up doing twice the work (you or other fellow contributors). --Tanonero (msg) 12:43, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I will address your points in order. The line about the joke is indeed unsourced, but the joke IS old and I referred to it as such, if you wish I will delete it. About "Il Vitello", Elio himself said on his radio show Cordialmente that the song is about homosexuality and about accepting to be gay (not hiding it). When Ruggeri sings "He states that your feet are not of real cobalt, but they are bread feet..." etc, he means "You are gay and you don't know it". The source for this is the man himself (Elio), but it was an old broadcast and it is not online any longer. About the music in the songs, there are no other sources but the songs themselves (listening to them), so if you want I will put YouTube links to the songs. All of the other info is not mine but my friend Marok's, I just translated it. So make of all this what thou wilt... Ugo1970 (talk) 14:05, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Ugo1970: Thanks for you response. I haven't doubted the veracity of those statements and I can see how you are extremely knowledgeable about EELST, but the issue remains that inline references are an absolute necessity. I will try to help finding the missing references, but we'll have to delete what remains unsourced. Nice that Marok is your friend, her/his website is great! --Tanonero (msg) 15:06, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
His website... his real name is Alessandro. I know him personally. I gave him some info about the sources of some of EElST's musical references, and he gave me some info about them. There is a constant e-mail exchange between me and him. And he did authorize me to publish his info on Wikipedia. Ugo1970 (talk) 08:45, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cordialmente

[edit]

Do you know by any chance which episode of Cordialmente features Elio talking about "Il vitello dai piedi di balsa"? --Tanonero (msg) 11:19, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I don't remember. I have been following the show from its very start to its very end, when the band dissolved, but that episode is from 1992 and I am not sure on whether it can be retrieved any longer. I only remember Elio talking about homosexuality in connection with that song. Ugo1970 (talk) 11:26, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
P.S.: If you wish, you can remove that note on "Il vitello", as the song's subject matter is more-than-clarified by its "Reprise". Ugo1970 (talk) 11:45, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
More P.S. - I am not doing any more EelST albums because I have all the albums up to Peerla. I don't have any albums after that, as I think they are weak and uninspired in both music and humour.Ugo1970 (talk) 11:34, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

About all the deletions

[edit]

Hey, sorry for all those AfDs and PRODs on your articles. I know you wrote them in good faith, but these are full of apparent original research and don't pass notability as far as I can tell. Wikipedia cannot function if it's filled with WP:OR and lacks adequate references. I hope these proposals bring out some sources so the articles can be meaningfully improved! — Mcguy15 (talk, contribs) 03:46, 3 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Will O' The Wisp on Rick Astley page

[edit]

Hi,

I removed mention of the Will O' The Wisp release from Rick Astley's page previously, and have just removed it again. I'm afraid there seems to be no third party coverage of this release at all; if it is a notable release, it shouldn't be hard to find a review or news article about it from a third-party reliable source. Per Wikipedia policy on Verifiability, I don't think it can be included as notable content purely based on sales sites. TSP (talk) 17:13, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
