Chandler Fitchett Peer Review #2

[edit]

I love this author! This is a great start! The introduction is solid- the only thing I would change is the last sentence. I think it seems a bit out of place. Perhaps you could move this to a different section, such as an "Adaptation" section, or remove it entirely. The sentence, "Publication Americanah was Adichie's third novel, published on May 14, 2013 by Alfred A. Knopf", which is in a different section could be added to the intro paragraph. Not sure if you were trying to separate the two or not, but the Reception and Reviews section could be combined and labeled "Reception." I think the plot section is doing its job- there is a clear understanding of the story's premise. I imagine you will be expanding upon this. Like the model article you provided, the addition of a themes and characters section would make the article even stronger. I really like what you have done so far, I hope my suggestions will help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chandlerfitchett (talkcontribs) 22:03, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Jillyann's Peer Review #1

[edit]

Good start! Also great idea to use another book by Adichie as your model template.

Lead: I think this is a good overall lead beginning. I will use this as a model for my own article. I think it will be good to revisit the lead when all of your other sections are developed.

When you say "threaded by her love story with high school classmate Obinze," I'm wondering if there are words that can describe their love story more? (i.e. long distance relationship; separation, etc.)

Structure: Good sections, I can's wait to see them. Are you going to include a character section like "Half of a Yellow Sun"?

Balance/Neutral Content: Does not seem to go off topic.

Does not draw conclusions or try to convince the reader to accept one particular point of view.

Sources: What sources are you using?

I am so intrigued by this book! hoping to read it some time. I can't wait to see your final article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jmugerio (talkcontribs) 04:36, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
