Because subjects are not always notable by Wikipedia standards, articles about non-notable subjects are deleted. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about notability after briefing through WP:Notability. Feel free to reference Wikipedia:Article wizard to walk you step by step through creating a new article. On the last step, I'd suggest creating a new article in the draftspace, rather than directly in the article namespace. I have the same question. Please note that copying articles, including Wikipedia articles, without providing proper attribution causes copyright problems. If you intend to do something with this copy, please just reply so here: we can fix the copyright issues without too much fuss.
