If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:UNITAR International University, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Biker Biker (talk) 08:37, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for taking the time to contribute.

I'm a bot designed by another Wikipedia editor, and I'm here to help you with our deletion process. I noticed that while working on an article recently, you removed a speedy deletion template that tagged it for deletion. Don't get discouraged! Deletion discussions happen on Wikipedia all the time.

If you don't want the article to get deleted, please click here.

The link will take you to the talk page, where you can explain why the article should be kept. If you have any questions about this or need help with editing, you can ask at the Help desk.

We really hope you'll stick around to help make Wikipedia better! Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 08:51, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a business listing directory, and is not for advertising or promotion of any kind.

If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username to a username which complies with our username policy, so that your contributions with this username are recorded as contributions of your new username and rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice instead. Thank you. Before writing about your University, please read:

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

sorry, i don't cannot use organisation name UNITAR International University (talk) 08:57, 4 January 2013 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Although the blocking administrator chose to mention only the username issue as the reason for the block, that is not, in fact, the only problem, nor in my opinion the most important one. There is also the fact that your editing has been pure advertising, including such unadulterated marketing-speak as "envisions itself to be the leading centre of excellence", "a steadfast commitment to continually strive for evergreen excellence", and so on. Wikipedia is not a free advertising service. If you wish to be unblocked then you will need to indicate that your future editing will be very different from what you have done so far. You must persuade an administrator that you will not continue to use Wikipedia for promotion. Also, you should not be writing an article about your business, as you have a conflict of interest, and are likely to find it difficult or impossible to write in the neutral, dispassionate way that is required for Wikipedia, even if you wish to do so (which you clearly did not when you wrote the promotional page which has now been deleted). However, if you would like to contribute to the encyclopaedia in other ways, you are welcome to make another unblock request, explaining briefly what you intend to do. JamesBWatson (talk) 15:03, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have moved this down, because new messages go at the bottom of talk pages.

What you tried to do was to post a copy of the University's own promotional material. That is not what an encyclopedia is for. Please read the links I provided just above your unblock request. If you are to be unblocked, you will need to explain what sort of edits you will make, which will not be for the purpose of promoting your employer.

Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. JohnCD (talk) 10:35, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (I want use this site for my new article) --UNITAR International University (talk) 02:20, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what you mean by that. However, if you mean that you intend to evade the block by posting here a page like an article, then that is not the purpose of a talk page. JamesBWatson (talk) 20:00, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Nor is it the purpose of a user page. Those are for the individual volunteers, who are here to help build the encyclopedia, to say something about themselves and their Wikipedia work, to assist communication within the project. They are not for substantial content... that is unrelated to Wikipedia.
Wikipedia is not a place to post copies of your organization's promotional literature. Have you read the guidelines I linked just below the blue block notice further up this page? JohnCD (talk) 20:19, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
