Welcome
[edit]Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights - do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view - this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced to multiple reliable sources.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, doing so will result your account or IP being blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! --Marc Kupper|talk 21:18, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
Tim Alexander (filmmaker)
[edit]Tyson, I saw the note about you at Talk:Tim Alexander (filmmaker) and have some comments.
- If you are Tim Alexander's son then please keep WP:COI in mind. This does not mean you can't edit the Tim Alexander related articles at all but you do need to be extra careful to keep the writing strictly neutral. I looked at a few of your edits and they seem ok.
- Please keep WP:BURDEN in mind. When you add something to a Wikipedia article it'd be great if you always reference it back to a verifiable source.
- Finally, please do not ever add copyright text to Wikipedia as you did here. You added a word-for-word copy of a very large section of text from [1] or [2]. Both of these are copyright 2009 by Magnolia Pictures. Wikipedia takes copyright violations seriously and it may result in you getting blocked from editing.
You write very well for the age reported on www.tiredblackman.com. Keep up the good work. Unfortunately, it's likely Tim Alexander (filmmaker) and later Diary of a Tired Black Man will get deleted unless evidence of notability is found per Wikipedia's rules about notability. --Marc Kupper|talk 21:39, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
November 2012
[edit]Hello, I'm Stuartyeates. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Vassal Gradington Benford III, but you didn't provide a reliable source. I've removed it for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Stuartyeates (talk) 01:37, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
Blocked for sockpuppetry
[edit]This account has been blocked from editing for a period of 5 weeks for sock puppetry per evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Tyson Turner. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not. Once the block has expired, you're welcome to make useful contributions. If you believe that this block was in error, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
