I saw on your info page that you want to learn Mandarin. Ellen Klempner is an outstanding Mandarin professor at CofC. It may be strange learning Mandarin from a Jewish lady, but it was good enough that the Taiwanese I work with think I learned from a Beijing professor. Kainaw 20:26, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I've recategorized all the articles in Category:African Mythology to Category:African mythology and created a redirect at the former, per Wikipedia:Naming conventions. - dcljr 21:59, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Your "Noteworthy article edits" for Rasa (art) represent a copyright problem. Prior to having your work marked like above, could you please do a little more research on the topic as well as some copy editing?

In particular, see if you can articulate the difference between the eight rasas you mentioned already and the navarasas (nine emotions) as symbolized in the IIFA Awards Trophy and mentioned already in Wikipedia (Sanskrit literature) and on the following pages:

I think the topic is a useful one and am glad you saw fit to start such an article.

Thanks. 66.167.141.93 02:57, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC) (contributing since May 2003)

Waited a week, then marked your article as promised. 66.167.252.152 15:58, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I copied that material from the earlier Rasa article which I turned into a disambig. See the history of that article. User:DJ Clayworth created wrote the info on the article. -Tydaj 18:44, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Vandalism

[edit]

Thanks for the head-up, and the repair. You might be interested to know Template:Middle Eastern deities has been moved to Template:Semitic deities. User:Wighson went and renamed it without, of course, even the benefit of a discussion of any kind. But I'm the vandal somehow. I don't have the energy to deal with this kind of person just now.

"Trained historian" my ass. I know several professional historians, and none of them are even willing to comment, let alone pose as experts, on subjects outside their specialties. This guy's all over the map though. TCC (talk) (contribs) 05:26, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for Qingtan

[edit]

Hello, good work on Qingtan, and thanks for the contribution. However, you forgot to add any references to the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. What websites, books, or other places did you learn the information that you added to Qingtan? Would it be possible for you to mention them in the article? Thank you very much. - SimonP 05:56, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
