I appreciate your remarkable and rapid diligence in catching my error. Sarpy had the second largest # of voters participating in the special election, but the lowest % turnout. Until I checked, I thought you might have been wrong. I'm not sure how I made that mistake. I think it's quite odd that a suburban area did so poorly in terms of actual % turnout, especially compared to the adjacent Lancaster county. I wonder if it might have had something to do with the redistricting, using the new district boundaries to fill the remainder of the old term, and possibly generating voter confusion or even defeated candidate outreach? Do you know if the new district boundaries were gerrymandered, i.e., to remove urban or suburban voters, if you already have some granular knowledge? Activist (talk) 12:05, 16 August 2022 (UTC)

@Activist: When I added in the turnout, I didn't want to add much analysis about it because the sources that I looked into just didn't talk about voter turnout. So I just performed a quick search and this news article seems to have suggested that that was indeed the case: confusion among voters led to fewer turnout. I didn't find any other sources that talk about the special election turnout specifically but you should add content from that article because it includes quite a lot of analysis, including on turnout. —twotwofourtysix^{(talk || edits)} 12:48, 16 August 2022 (UTC)
