Hello, TwistedDoubt, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.

I hope this welcome offsets the rather brusque warning about inappropriate pages above! If your page is deleted, you might like to have a look at this page which may suggest why. If you need more help, click on the bit after my signature that says (talk to me!)

License tagging for Image:Eric the croc.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Eric the croc.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 13:08, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Hardys-Bay-4072.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hardys-Bay-4072.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Eric the Crocodile. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Beeawwb 03:45, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Commercial use of Image:Hardys-Bay.jpg

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Hardys-Bay.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Hardys-Bay.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Hardys-Bay.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 04:04, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate images uploaded

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:HardysBay.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Hardys-Bay.jpg. The copy called Image:Hardys-Bay.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 04:17, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Felicity Ward, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --健次(derumi)talk 07:36, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Criteria for Speedy Deletion

[edit]

I've removed the above mentioned article from candidacy for CSD, but I have notice that you've once removed the speedy deletion tag from one of your previously created articles. Please keep in mind that this is not allowed to be done by the creator of the article, only by another editor. If you wish to contest a CSD, you place a "hangon" tag at the top of the page in between a double pair of curly brackets. In the mean time, I see that you're actively working on your article in bits and pieces, so I apologize for slapping a speedy delete tag on it so promptly. --健次(derumi)talk 07:45, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello.

I see that you have uploaded Image:Eric the croc2.jpg. Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia!

Do you own this picture? If so, is there a way that we can verify it? Otherwise, could you please add an appropriate fair use rationale?

I'm sorry that the entire process for adding images is so complicated.

Have a good day, -- Where 02:32, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Image:Eric the croc2.jpg, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material without the permission of the author. As a copyright violation, Image:Eric the croc2.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Image:Eric the croc2.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. For text material, please consider rewriting the content and citing the source, provided that it is credible.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

However, for text content, you may want to consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. .....Todd#661 09:14, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Graeme Blu m.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Graeme Blu m.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:00, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello TwistedDoubt! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 391 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
