Speedy deletion nomination of Voicetext
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Voicetext, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Theopolisme (talk) 23:25, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Acroterion (talk) 00:26, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
The article Neospeech has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unremarkable software product
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Acroterion (talk) 00:30, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Neospeech
[edit]Hello Tvo05,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Neospeech for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. TRL (talk) 02:31, 20 July 2013 (UTC)
Problem with Neospeech link on Chinese speech synthesis
[edit]Hi, you changed the Neospeech demo link on Chinese speech synthesis to a link that gives me a "404 not found" error. Can you double-check it? I'd like to confirm that the demo now accepts pinyin; I couldn't get it to do that before. Thanks. Silas S. Brown (email, talk) 19:29, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
Hi, there. Yes. neospeech.com is the right link. The demo has accepted pinyin.Tvo05 (talk) 22:59, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
Unfortunately I still can't get Pinyin to work. I tried "zhè shì ge kǎoyàn" (this is a test); it should sound the same as 这是个考验 but it doesn't, instead it just reads out some of the letters. I also tried writing in tone numbers (zhe4 shi4 ge kao3yan4) but it just read out the numbers as Chinese numbers. Writing pinyin without tones is not much help either. How exactly did you get pinyin to work? Did you have to type some kind of markup code around it? Silas S. Brown (email, talk) 16:26, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
Hi, Silas, they use VTML(vtml_phoneme), which is a similar version of CSSML. For example, <vtml_phoneme alphabet="x-pinyin" ph="da4fu1">大夫</vtml_phoneme>. Hope this helps.Tvo05 (talk) 17:06, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, this is useful! Silas S. Brown (email, talk) 20:55, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
Removing AfD template
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Voicetext markup language. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Snotbot t • c » 22:37, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
