Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sofoluwe, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sorcerer. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:57, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Jatau (given name) moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Jatau (given name). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and you may have meant to format it as a disambiguation page, but failed to do that. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 00:34, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Names

[edit]

Please start paying attention to Wikipedia's rules about categorization: namely do not file pages in categories that are parents of other categories that the page is already in.

For example, if a page is already in Category:Yoruba given names, then it does not also go in Category:Yoruba names, Category:Nigerian names, Category:Nigeria, Category:African given names, Category:Given names or Category:Names — since the page is already in Category:Yoruba given names, which is already a subcategory of all of the others, a page is already in all of those other categories by virtue of being in the subcategory, so it does not need to be directly filed in each of those parent categories.

A page goes only in the most specific appropriate subcategory, and not in its parents. But I've had to clean this up several times in the past few weeks, so please start following the proper categorization rules. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 02:37, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Badamosi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability, only entry has "Badamasi", not Badamosi, as a middle name, so doesn't even match (and middle names are not really good redirect targets anyway).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:54, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
