Your edits on Siamese cat

[edit]

I reverted your recent edits on Siamese cat. Firstly, we do not favour one variety of English over another on Wikipedia and you should not simply change spelling to American English to 'fix' it. Secondly, the citations you added were not reliable. Wikipedia requires reliable sources, if your university wouldn't accept the citation it is no good for Wikipedia either. The pets4home website you added for example simply copied the existing Wikipedia article, hence why it had the same text as the article. Traumnovelle (talk) 08:48, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop changing articles to use American English and date formatting. Also do not use primary sources such as marriage records on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia and relies on secondary sources. We do not need to know someone's maiden name especially if the only source is a marriage record. Hi, I do apologize if the conversion of color to colour came off as trying to fix it. I was not favoring American English over UK. I was trying to have it be more uniform since the first time it is spelled is in the title and it is "Bicolor." Therefore, I wanted to limit confusion for readers. The policy is to retain the first spelling used in an article unless the topic has strong ties to a country or following a discussion on the talk page of the article where consensus for the change is achieved. The first version of English used, despite the title, is Australian English. Traumnovelle (talk) 19:39, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
