About this... you are pretty new here. Please know that WP:CONSENSUS is absolutely fundamental to how this place works and yes you MUST "debate worthiness and conventions with strangers." If you don't figure that out fairly quickly you are going to be one miserable wikipedian and will probably burn out and leave. So for what it is worth, I advise that you get that solidly under your feet and never complain about the obligation to discuss - it is absolutely essential here. Not a single other policy or guideline matters here if you don't understand that one. If you want to have your own blog you can do whatever the hell you want there. Not here. Good luck!
