Information icon Hello, I'm Tiptoety. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tiptoety talk 00:32, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

(It is my first time in wikipedia, dont knot where or how to respond emails here..! hope this is the way to comunicate with you Tiptoety)

Hello Tiptoety..! Is the first time for me in Wikipedia, I contributed because I have firsthand knowledge in the subject. Wanted to contribute Wikipedia to have the story straight for the common knowledge. Because it is a story where many people took big risk with the hope of making a change to better in some way the situation of the Mexican native Americans; to protect Marcos when the Mexican Government was going to go for a military solution by killing him, people took beg risk to negotiate for the peace in Mexico at the time. Before I tried to contribute to Wikipedia the Subcomandante Marcos page had 28 references All the information I included, is supported by 14 high quality quotes, such as the declaration of Esteban Moctezuma Barragan, the Secretary of the Interior of the time, the PRD Mexican Presidential Candidate of the time, Cuahtemoc Cardenas; Luis Maldonado Venegas the under Secretary of the Interior at the time and the secret negotiator with Marcos; The Mexican Congress; Marcos himself, publications of the most important political magazine in Mexico Proceso etc. So the sources are irrefutable. So why you tell me that the information I posted is unsupported? I am sure that after you read the articles and information in the 14 links I used for my contribution you will agree is sufficient and accurate. The references I submitted alone are a 50% contribution to the references total. They all come from Mexico, that is where this happened and the origin of the information. If you see most of the original references are from second hand sources, they are from Europe, USA, and this all happened in Mexico. not only that one of the references you have was out dated, because it had changed, so I fixed to correct that. because Wikipedia is a idea that gives opportunity to lost knowledge to find his way to the public and I was trying to help.

Trinity Abbey, you are welcome to make the edit so long as you cite it with the references above. To do so add <ref> REFERENCE </ref> around the reference (obviously the reference would go where the word REFERENCE is). Tiptoety talk 04:40, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am happy to read that Tiptoety..! I was under the impresion that I did just that, but as I mentioned I am new to Wikipedia and just learning to do things. I will correct it. Is it possible for you to please revert the changes to the way I left the page before you stop it That way I can focus on the corrections you mention me, Thank you, Trinity Abbey

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 1995 Zapatista Crisis, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Senators and Vatican (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Ways to improve Max Appedole

[edit]

Hi, I'm Ueutyi. Trinity Abbey, thanks for creating Max Appedole!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. You wrote this article like writing a novel...

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Ueutyi (talk) 09:37, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Trinity Abbey. I have undone one of the changes you made to this page because what you did was add a lot of links to itself. I'm sure you understand, but each time you add "[[Subcomandante Marcos]]" anywhere that creates a link to that page; when you add it on the Subcomandante Marcos page, it creates a useless link which goes nowhere. That is why i removed them previously, and why i have done it again. Please don't re-add them. If you need some help, there are some very good resources on wiki-formatting and so on, here, here, and here. If i can help any further, please don't hesitate to ask; cheers, LindsayHello 09:27, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re

[edit]

Hi! I was about to message you. Listen I don't want my reversion to discourage you but you need to learn a little bit more about how to contribute effectively to WP without disrupting articles. when you edit an article always make sure you remain within it's scope. There is no doubt about the importance of mr. Mokarzel's contributions but these should be expressed in the article dedicated to him and they are not necessary in articles such as the one about cedars. Secondly make sure that what you insert is factually accurate; for example, a statement (a section title) such as Lebanon's first official flag is dubious as the flag you are discussing is the flag of the French mandate powers and not that of Lebanon (the country) that did not exist at the time. I can continue on and on but I think you get the idea.

If I were making the edits I'd simply write a small sentence about the man's contributions to the flag, nothing about his other views or his biography because these do not fit the articles' scopes. Do not be discouraged, use the articles talk pages if you want help and try again. ~ Elias Z. (talkallam) 09:35, 15 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

PS: Blogs are NOT good sources, and Youtube isn't the best place to source your material too. ~ Elias Z. (talkallam) 09:38, 15 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

don't take personally my friend. I am thankful for your edits and I don't mean to demotivate you. I just pointed out policies for you. Listen, I will revisit all of the articles I have reverted, look up verifiable and good sources that are not blog posts and will rewrite the sections, how does this sound to you? Take this as a learning experience bud, read the policies and come back stronger. I will start searching for good sources as soon as I get home. Cheers and don't you give up ! ~ Elias Z. (talkallam) 12:28, 15 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I will get to it. I'm reviewing the links you sent. With some luck we can start a very nice article for Mr. Mokarzel ~ Elias Z. (talkallam) 19:00, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Naoum's biography is gonna be awesome! he had a really interesting life. I am working on his article in my sandbox and I'm really hopeful. It will take some time before i post it to main space cos i want to be well researched and very well sourced. :D ~ Elias Z. (talkallam) 09:45, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 11:01, 15 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent article

[edit]

Hi there, I regret that you have failed to learn anything from our last encounter. Your Naoum Mokarzel article needs a lot of tidying up. There are so many issues with it I don't even know whre to begin... Sentences such as "he was a mortal at the time so he was arrested" puzzle me? What are you trying to say? Are you a native English speaker? And you seem to be quoting sources out of context and inserting statements that cannot be verified. Please read the policies before going any further with the article, start by fixing the issues that are already there. Read Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Synth, WP:PEA. Blogs like this one are not reliable sources. If you fail to address the issues I'm afraid the article has little chance of surviving long. In short, the article needs rewriting from scratch and I can help with that, the problem is that you disregard my comments. I am hesitant to contribute to your article because you seem to be too biased to accept a proper biography and you keep editing as if you are writing a saint's hagiography. If you can give your word to accept guidance i will pitch in, If not I will leave this article to its own which will most probably result in deletion. What do you say? ~ Elias Z. (talkallam) 10:12, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Saloum Mokarzel, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Hello, I'm Callanecc. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Naoum Mokarzel with this edit without explaining why.
