I removed your mention of the butcher's shop in Glenfield, as it seemed to violate the guidelines for neutral point of view. I've fixed the link to your image of the pond at Gynsills nature reserve. Hope that's ok.--Michig (talk) 11:58, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
How Wikipedia works in one paragraph
[edit]Hello. To answer your first question it's just a hobby - I'm just an 'ordinary editor'. There are other editors who have extra privileges, who are called 'administrators', who can do things like delete inappropriate articles and block editors who are disruptive, etc. (vandals), but these are all also people who contribute in their own time. Basically, how Wikipedia works is that any subject can have an article here as long as it passes the criteria for notability (see WP:N). Anyone can edit any article, and as long as edits are constructive please feel free to edit any articles you wish. To ensure that articles contain reliable information, any controversial statements or anything that may be challenged (e.g. 'Glenfield has more dishwashers per head than any other village in England') need to be backed up with references to reliable sources (see WP:RS and WP:V) otherwise they may be removed. All articles need to be written with a neutral point of view (see WP:NPOV) and stick to being factual, rather than editors expressing their opinions. For help with formatting and markup, click on the 'Help' link on the left <---). I'll stop there, or I'll go beyond one paragraph. Let me know if you have any more questions, and I hope you enjoy it here.--Michig (talk) 20:44, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
File:Gynsills nature reserve.JPG missing description details
[edit]is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.
If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.
If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 10:36, 14 April 2013 (UTC)
