Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Ages of consent in Asia, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Idell (talk) 21:16, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The edit I did for the last page has a correct citing but some of the information was not accurate, because the person who made the previous edit seemed to suffer from a misunderstanding of certain articles from the law. TranslatorAli94 (talk) 21:23, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/TranslatorAli94, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Good evening,

Regarding the investigation of usage of two accounts to edit from my side. I did in fact do that unfortunately. The reason being was that I tried correcting inaccurate information in the "Age of consent in Asia" page. I tried doing so by writing information in the place of others which are inaccurate and without a source. The few sources provided in the Bahrain section of the page do not refer to the inaccurate information written down or are outdated. Unfortunately, simply removing uncited inaccurate information and or doing so and replacing it with another without a source (but information I knew to be accurate) myself ultimately resulted in blocking me for a week from editing. I decided to open a new account, but that time I was careful to provide information with citation. However, I wasn't aware that opening another account was against the rules. I genuinely only wanted to provide accurate information and stop the publication of certain misleading information through this platform. I truly apologize and swear to not resort to opening other accounts, but instead focus on providing information and citation through this account only, when I'm allowed again to edit.

I suggest that you read the policy on use of multiple accounts if you have not already so that you can avoid issues around around multiple accounts in the future. I also suggest that you read the information in the welcome messsage I have placed below so that you can get up to speed with our policies and guidelines.
