If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Cultural adaptation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Nomination of Transcreation for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Transcreation is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Transcreation until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. ChristianandJericho 17:43, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article renamed to Transcreation

[edit]

When I read the article I thought it needed to be renamed, and then found that the title was already in use as a redirect to the book article, and read your note on the talk page. I have therefore renamed the article to what is clearly its proper title: if the book article is kept we can arrange pointers to link the two, but I do not think that is likely. How can I fix the referencing?

[edit]

{{help me}} I have just updated the Transcreation article and have succeeded in ruining the referencing. Could someone please help me put it right? Also, could someone please edit this newly updated article and let me know if it is better/what needs changing. Thank you! Transcreation11 (talk) 13:55, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've fixed most of the references by peeking back at the article as it was on September 20th. I'd be interested to know how you managed to lose them! I don't know how to fix reference 13, though, because the sentence ending "...and create emotional connections" is new. You'll have to work out for yourself which of the sources supports this statement. I'll leave the "help me" active in case any of the other helpers can suggest ways to make the article clearer. -- John of Reading (talk) 17:55, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Transcreation&oldid=451264813 - the lost ref appears to be another "Kates, Steven M.; Goh, Charlene (2003)", so I've set it to that one.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:28, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
