[edit]Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to John McAslan. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Devchar (talk) 12:38, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at John McAslan, you may be blocked from editing. Based on previous history of that article, please also review our policy on WP:Paid Editing and WP:COI, just in case anything applies to you. JeffUK 13:03, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. JeffUK 13:52, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
Conflict of Interest editing
[edit]Hello, Track18*. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Axad12 (talk) 19:41, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]You have been blocked indefinitely as being a promotion-only account. I consider you also to be most likely a sockpuppet of previous promotional accounts at John McAslan, but the block reason is persistent promotional editing. You can request unblock from an uninvolved administrator by placing {{unblock|your reason here}} on this page. Bishonen | tålk 20:05, 5 December 2024 (UTC).
