License tagging for Image:ITLOS Logo.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:ITLOS Logo.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:11, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
A belated welcome; and, regarding a few images!
[edit]Tparis23, I notice that you haven't been formally welcome yet; so, welcome! Thank you for your contributions, they are much appreciated. A few pages I find helpful and hope that you might find helpful are:
About a few of the images you uploaded—Image:IACHR Logo.png, Image:ICJ.gif, Image:ITLOS Logo.png, Image:NAFTA.png, Image:OPCW logo.gif and Image:Logo wto.jpg—I removed them from Supranational aspects of international organizations and nominated them for speedy deletion. Specifically, they are non-free images (all logos are presumed to be non-free content per Wikipedia:Logos unless evidence suggests otherwise), and I feel that their use in Supranational aspects of international organizations is decorative and not a fair use. You may disagree, add them back into the article (and then remove the speedy deletion template Template:Orphaned fairuse not replaced). But please add a fair use rationale for them. Currently they will be deleted in seven days. Regards, Iamunknown 04:25, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
