Copyright problems with File:2011 toyota sienna.jpg
[edit]Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:2011 toyota sienna.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.thetorquereport.com/2011_toyota_sienna_5.jpg. As a copyright violation, File:2011 toyota sienna.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:2011 toyota sienna.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:2011 toyota sienna.jpg and send an email with the message to permissions-enwikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at File talk:2011 toyota sienna.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:2011 toyota sienna.jpg.

While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Fair use photos
[edit]Please note the following provision on the fair use tag: "where the image is unrepeatable, i.e. a free image could not be created to replace it"
In other words, if there is a realistic way to create a comparable free image, a photo cannot qualify as fair use and will be deleted. It is extremely easy to take a photo of any recent-model car and upload it to Wikipedia under the public domain, so none of the photos you have been uploading meet Wikipedia's fair use rules. File source problem with File:2011 scion tc 0 430.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:2011 scion tc 0 430.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:35, 1 April 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 03:35, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:2011 scion tc 0 430.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:2011 scion tc 0 430.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 03:36, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:2011 scion tc 0 430.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:2011 scion tc 0 430.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
PLEASE NOTE:
- I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
- I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
- If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
- To opt out of these bot messages, add

Toyota Sienna
[edit]Hi. Just seen your addition of the hybrid section at Toyota Sienna#Hybrid. You have written this in blog style instead of encyclopaedic style. Keywords such as 'recently', 'now', 'currently' are typical of blog style but in a year's time this will read wrong. Sentences like 'According to a report from Nikkei in Japan, Toyota is currently hard at work developing a Prius hybrid minivan that could debut in early 2011.' should be shortened to 'Toyota is developing a Prius hybrid minivan that could debut in early 2011.', followed by a reference to the Nikkei report. Even this is a bit worrying because we are reporting on future events that may change (Toyota may give up on it, change direction or change the release date). Expressions like 'hard at work' are also more appropriate for a blog instead of an encyclopaedia - we try to keep a neutral tone that reports just the facts, rather than emotional tones. Otherwise we wind up with articles that either gush about a topic or bad mouth it, depending on the editors opinion. The sketch looks pretty good to me but it would be nicer without the ruled pad lines. Lastly, could you add links to other articles mentioned (eg Prius). Is it possible for you to clean up the section you just added? Thanks. Stepho (talk) 07:01, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
Oops, I just read your reference and found it to be word for word identical to the reference. This is strictly not allowed in Wikipedia for copyright reasons. Another editor will likely delete your section just for copyright violation. Much better to rewrite it in your own words. Stepho (talk) 07:06, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:2011 scion iq 0 430.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:2011 scion iq 0 430.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
