2015 Thalys train attack

[edit]

Hi, a recent edit you made to 2015 Thalys train attack has been reverted. But you can try it again, just be sure to keep the sources that were there originally. Please see Talk:2015 Thalys train attack#Implementation of Rfc for details. Cordially, Mathglot (talk) 03:03, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Aren't citations optional? Good but not required? Tough sailor ouch (talk) 08:38, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed by adding citations. Tough sailor ouch (talk) 16:01, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jet Naked Airlines requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. QEDK (T 📖 C) 16:29, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please understand that the current request for deletion does not come over the issue of whether the airline is actually in the planning stages, but over whether it is notable. Being an airline does not make a company inherently notable, and there is no claim in the article suggesting actual notability. --Nat Gertler (talk) 16:33, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Jet Naked

[edit]

If you've got references, please read WP:RS and then add them. Also, please don't remove speedy deletion tags (if this was an accident, it's best to revert yourself and try again). And more - please don't use the body of an article for discussing its future. That's what talk pages are for. The one ref you gave was not much more than a mention - about a company that hasn't started selling tickets yet. They may be notable now - you haven't shown us this yet. They may be notable in the future - but we don't allow articles in advance of the notability. No matter how sure you are that they will be, WP:CRYSTAL and WP:CORP apply. In the mean time, I've restored the CSD tag as it was incomplete. I've not deleted the article, but I do think someone will fairly soon. If you try again, do it in user space at User:Tough sailor ouch/DRAFT, where the patrollers are more limited and notability doesn't apply. When you think you're getting somewhere, ask for advice and opinion. Peridon (talk) 17:32, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Seems that QEDK beat me to the button with the tag. Same difference. Peridon (talk) 17:36, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't disrupt Wikipedia to make a point

[edit]

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but your recent edits appear to be intentional disruptions designed to illustrate a point. Edits designed for the deliberate purpose of drawing opposition, including making edits you do not agree with or enforcing a rule in a generally unpopular way, are highly disruptive and can lead to a block or ban. If you feel that a policy is problematic, the policy's talk page is the proper place to raise your concerns. If you simply disagree with someone's actions in an article, discuss it on the article talk page or, if direct discussion fails, through dispute resolution. If consensus strongly disagrees with you even after you have made proper efforts, then respect the consensus, rather than trying to sway it with disruptive tactics. Thank you. Your "disclaimers" on Jet Naked Airlines are disruptive. Just write the article as if it is a normal one. Chesnaught (talk) 17:46, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed an improper use of the word "proposed". The company exist. It is airline routes that are proposed. Person 905 (talk) 20:02, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Jet Naked Airlines

[edit]

The article Jet Naked Airlines has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notability does not meet WP:NCORP. Most mentions are passing mentions; the most in-depth non-database I've found is the Financial Post article, which has fewer than 10 sentences on the airline. "Airline" does not yet have flights or even a license, and the name listed (according to multiple articles) is just a placeholder, not intended to be the final name; as such, it's hard to see this as a company of particular impact yet.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
