Hello, thanks for your review of the article. I've addressed the issues pointed to and done an update to the article, is this sufficient to alter the outcome? - RoyBoy 17:52, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
Your personal opinion
Hey Torchiest, how's it going? I've been working on a list of hair bands and artists for the last few weeks in an attempt to get it to featured list of the day status and since you've reviewed quite a few articles, I wanted you're take on the article's status as of now. In other words, do you think it's close to getting there? Are only real problems with it right now are the relative shortness of the lead, possible copyright issues with pictures, and the fact that Rolling Stone's recent updates have turned some of the references we're using in the article into redirects (though I'm sure me or another user could easily find sources from some of the acts that Rolling Stone is used for.) RG (talk) 20:01, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- Honestly, I'm not really very familiar with what it takes to get a list to featured status. I've always thought it would be hard to tell when it had hit that level. So, I can't offer and solid advice. However, I can point you to this link, which had the four featured lists in my WP:INDUSTRIAL project list. Maybe looking those over can give you some ideas about what else you may need. Just based on looking it over, it seems like you've got a sizeable number of bands, with good citation, and lots of images. I'm not sure if images are preferred or not, but I would think you'd want all the bands to have images if possible, if that's what is preferable. I would say the main thing you're missing is a good strong lead that gives details about maybe the genre, and what it takes to qualify a band for the list. Good luck with it! - Thanks for the suggestions. RG (talk) 20:54, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

The Working Wikipedian's Barnstar | |
For reviewing 6 good article nominations during the April 2010 GAN backlog elimination drive, I hereby present you The Working Man's Barnstar. Nice job! –MuZemike 23:16, 5 May 2010 (UTC) |
Thanks for your input at the discussion about the GA symbol on article pages. To keep the discussion layout as simple as possible, i'd be grateful if you'd revisit, and if you are happy to put yourself down as a "yes" (someone else helpfully added the headings and numbered lists after i'd gone offline for a while), then pls cut and paste your comments to become one of the numbered list. That'd just make things tidier. Cheers, hamiltonstone (talk) 10:42, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion Nomination of Justin Bennett
I've placed a tag on Justin Bennett because the artist in question is non-notable. If you would like to contest the deletion, place {{hangon}} under the deletion tag and leave a note on the talk page. Goodvac (talk) 19:04, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
- It has been withdrawn. Check Bennett's history. Chris (talk) 21:20, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

But none of those alumni are individually referenced with sources proving that they went to the school. That is the central problem. WhisperToMe (talk) 16:53, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Album categorization
Please see here The guidelines state in part, "Each album page should be placed into two categories, Category:<Artist name> albums
" and "Previous discussions have formed the consensus that a category for an artist's albums should be created even if they have only released one album." Consequently, MDFMK (album) should be in Category:MDFMK albums, even though the latter is presently a redlink--that just means that it should be created. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 16:24, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
Perfectly Balanced Barnstar

Backlog Elimination Drive Wrap-up
Thanks very much to all who helped with the Guild of Copy Editors Backlog Elimination Drive. We were very close to meeting our target of 7,500 articles remaining in the backlog. Our most shining success is the incredible reduction in the backlog of Special Requests. That part of the project saw a drop from 62 articles in the queue, some dating back to February of 2009, down to a stunning THREE, all of which were being edited at the close of the drive. The Special Requests page will now be a great resource for people looking to tidy up their article in advance of a GA or FA nomination, instead of a place where articles go to die.
Moving forward The drive has not only forced a great leap forward in reducing the backlog. It has helped promote the Guild, and led to a greater awareness of the level of vigilance required to keep the backlog manageable. Ideas such as charts, graphs, and barnstars helped motivate editors, and meeting other users helped quell any feelings gnomish editors may have had in the past that they were toiling all alone. Keep up the good work people!! Stats

Soliciting your input
Hi. There's an attempt to bring the History of Spider-Man article, which needs enormous work, up to encyclopedic standards. You were among the editors in the deletion discussion, and it'd be good to get your input on, and edits to, the work-in-progress at User:Spidey104/Fictional history of Spider-Man sandbox. With regards, --Tenebrae (talk) 05:00, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Revision to Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri articles
I noticed that you have revised either Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri or Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire.
I intend to revise those articles following the Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Article guidelines. There are more details on the discussion pages of those articles. I'd be interested in any comments you have. It would be best if your comments were on the discussion pages of the two articles.
Thank you.

Thank you
Thank you very much for signing up for the July Backlog Elimination Drive! The copyedit backlog stretches back two and a half years, all the way back to the beginning of 2008! We're really going to need all the help we can to get it down to a manageable number. We've ambitiously set a goal of clearing all of 2008 from the backlog this month. In order to do that, we're going to need more participants. Is there anyone that you can invite or ask to participate with you? If so, we're offering an award to the person who brings in the most referrals. Just notify ɳorɑfʈ Talk! or Diannaa TALK of who your referrals are. Once again, thanks for your support! You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 17:32, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Your request for rollback
Hi Torchiest/Archive 2. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FASTILY (TALK) 03:25, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Chris&Cosey.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Chris&Cosey.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:39, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
