Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because the reason of its deletion was not about the content. This page should be judged by its content. The page was redone to take any possible subjectivity. It is not the same content than before.

How do you know that? You appear to be a new editor and deleted content is not visible to non admin editors. Are you by any chance Torchbit ?  Velella  Velella Talk   00:39, 18 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No. I checked the history of Rui Delgado and found the redirected page, I read everything there. I followed him on social media and wanted to use it as my first page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eugenetroy (talkcontribs) 00:42, 18 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Eugenetroy and Torchbit: Eugenetroy, Yamamoto Ichiro closed the AfD and specifically stated that the article should only be re-created once better sourcing was found, so sourcing was an issue. I would argue that if you want this restored, you should ask that admin if it's OK first. They're inactive, so if they don't respond then I'd recommend that you should take this to WP:DRV, as you're arguing that the article could've been kept on the past sourcing and that all it needed was basic cleanup. Now I looked at the content on both pages and to be honest, you didn't change much of anything on the page. You removed one section about the YouTube series, but other than that the content was identical, which makes it the exact same content as before. If you want to get this restored then you need to provide more/better sourcing since ultimately that's going to be the deciding factor here. I do think that there's something to be argued for coverage about companies that Delgado founded, but the sourcing would have to be in places that Wikipedia would consider to be reliable and not be things like press releases or routine business notifications. I'd heavily recommend getting someone at the WP:TEAHOUSE to help you with this before you take it to DRV. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:52, 18 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
