User talk:Tonylewis1
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Tonylewis1! Thank you so much for coming to the Wiki Curator Training.
Now that we've created your userpage and learned the basics, I hope that you'll stay logged in and have a go at editing some articles. If you're not feeling bold enough to write an article straight away, why not try a small edit first, or adding a link? Don't worry about being perfect, Wiki is a constantly evolving entity. Fortunately there's a whole team of editors just like you who can help.
You can't break Wikipedia, but in case you're still nervous here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Getting Started guide for Galleries, Libraries, Archives & Museums
- Is your topic notable enough for an article?
- Be Bold!
- Don't let grumpy users scare you off.
- Learn from others
- How to write a great article
- A simplified manual of style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Remember, if you are writing on a talk page, please sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and ask your question there. See you soon! Lirazelf (talk) 10:42, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

Reference errors on 6 May
[edit]Hello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:
- On the West of Scotland Cricket Club page, your edit caused a URL error (help). (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:29, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
Glasgow Wikimeet #6
[edit]Hi there! As you're a Wikimedian in Scotland I'd like to invite you to the 6th Glasgow Wikimeet on Thursday 18th June - hope to see you there for some chat about all things Wiki and a bite to eat/drink. Take a look at the event page and let me know if you can make it! Lirazelf (talk) 16:25, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
Happy Friday!
[edit]Ah thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. There's a plain and simple conflict of interest guide here. Also, this page has got some excellent advice about what to do if you think that your organisation deserves a Wiki page. As I said, no problem to do training, just let me know! Wiki training
[edit]Heya! So, for training we would need a room with wifi, and preferably a projector and laptop that I could use, but I can probably source the latter if needed. Tea/Coffee/snacks are always useful. We need a time slot of about 3 hours, evening or weekend is fine with me as long as I'm free. There's another new Wikipedian who would be interested in training, so if I could get her along, that would be good too! Maybe there's somewhere at the uni that we could use? Lirazelf (talk) 09:15, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- Sounds good! And enjoy Germany :) Lirazelf (talk) 14:02, 2 July 2015 (UTC)
Wiki meet
[edit]You are cordially invited to the next Edinburgh Wiki Meetup Next: Thurs 5 May 2016, 6-8pm, National Library of Scotland, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh, EH1 1EW |
Hi, you are cordially invited to our next ScotWiki meetup.
The National Library of Scotland is extremely accessible via train for those travelling from outside the city, and via bus for Edinburgh residents. Its visitor centre offers food, drinks, and WiFi and should give us plenty of room to meet and have a chat after work!

Hopefully see you there, Stinglehammer (talk) 11:24, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
