Better source request for File:EMK eulogy of RFK.ogg
Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:
You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 03:17, 1 February 2014 (UTC)

Hey,
So sorry to take so long to get back to you; my wikipedia time over the last couple days has been filled dealing with a really disruptive editor (going to be preparing an RFC/U it looks like). Anyway, if you still need a peer reviewer, I would be happy to take it on. Indrian (talk) 15:44, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
WikiCup 2014 January newsletter
The 2014 WikiCup is off to a flying start, with, at time of writing, 138 participants. The is the largest number of participants we have seen since 2010. If you are yet to join the competition, don't worry- the judges have agreed to keep the signups open for a few more days. By a wide margin, our current leader is newcomer Godot13 (submissions), whose set of 14 featured pictures, the first FPs of the competition, was worth 490 points. Here are some more noteworthy scorers:
- 12george1 (submissions) and TropicalAnalystwx13 (submissions) were the first people to score, for the good article Tropical Storm Bret (1981) and its good article review respectively. 12george1 was also the first person to score in 2012 and 2013.
- Sven Manguard (submissions) scored the first ITN points for 2014 North American polar vortex.
- WonderBoy1998 (submissions) scored points for an early good topic, finishing off Wikipedia:Featured topics/She Wolf.
- TheAustinMan (submissions) scored the first bonus points of the competition, for his work on Typhoon Vera.
- Igordebraga (submissions) has scored the highest number of bonus points for a single article, for the high-importance Jurassic Park (film).
Featured articles, featured lists, featured topics and featured portals are yet to play a part in the competition. The judges have removed a number of submissions which were deemed ineligible. Typically, we aim to see work on a project, followed by a nomination, followed by promotion, this year. We apologise for any disappointment caused by our strict enforcement this year; we're aiming to keep the competition as fair as possible.
Wikipedians interested in friendly competition may be interested to take part in The Core Contest; unlike the WikiCup, The Core Contest is not about audited content, but, like the WikiCup, it is about article improvement; specifically, The Core Contest is about contribution to some of Wikipedia's most important article. Of course, any work done for The Core Contest, if it leads to a DYK, GA or FA, can earn WikiCup points.
If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. - Dr.K., in theory your calculation would be correct if your toolserver and stats.grok.se were calculating the exact same thing. I have reason to believe that your toolserver is underestimating its totals by some minor variants. Variants are different than redirects. They are alternate code spellings of the same page that dont redirect. E.g., Wilhelm_Zahn, Wilhelm Zahn, wilhelm Zahn and Wilhelm%20Zahn are all considered variants. I don't think your toolserver calculation is including the same variants as stats.grok.se.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 01:23, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you Tony, I see. I guess we can use this as a first approximation. Hopefully the exact figure can be reconstructed at some point. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 01:42, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
re GAR possibly of interest
TonyTheTiger, the page at GAR is interesting and I've been trying to follow the discussion of and on but unfortunately it's getting a little bit on the TL;DR side. Perhaps you could summarize the main disagreements for me at this point in time? Or not just for me, but put a new comment unindented on the GAR review page with a basic summary of the disagreements up til now?
Otherwise, and/or in addition to that, I may just swing by and comment with first an Image/Stability Review, followed by an assessment of the page in relation to the criteria of WP:WIAGA, if I get a chance in the next couple days.
Cheers,

I believe the GA nomination was quite premature. It was proposed by an editor who didn't really want to do the hard work, and made very little contribution in terms of information, writing or fixing the article. Sorry about that, though I believe it could still be worked to the level of a GA.
I have addressed some of your concerns. I have left the lead section for the last. And, I have very serious issues with the "issues" section. It was made mostly by an editor who has very little care for encyclopedic standards. I think I am going to make some radical changes there.
But, I seriously need a guiding/reviewing eye. Can you lend a hand there? Aditya(talk • contribs) 13:09, 8 February 2014 (UTC)

More Demi Moore
You have removed a photo reference that illustrated a predecessor both in terms of topic and reception: The subject of the photos (pregnant woman) and her posture (in profile) display obvious parallels, as does the public reaction to the respective publications. Excluding such a relevant predecessor, the article in its current form wrongly suggests that Leibovitz's portrait of Moore was the first photo of a pregnant woman, and the first to receive criticism. Pointing back to McBride's example from the 1960's provides important context, both in terms of art history and sociology.
And I would argue that the photo archive of the Deutsches Historisches Museum qualifies as a "reliable source."

March 2014 GAN Backlog Drive
It's that time again! Starting on March 1, there will be another GAN Backlog Drive! There will be several changes compared to previous drives:
- This drive will introduce a new component to it; a point system. In a nutshell, older nominations are worth more points than newer nominations. The top 3 participants who have the points will be awarded the Golden, Silver, or Bronze Wikipedia Puzzle Piece Trophy, respectively.
- Unlike the December 2013 Backlog Drive, earning an additional barnstar if you reached your goal has been removed.
- The allowance to have insufficient reviews has been lowered to 2 before being disqualified.
- An exception to the rule that all reviews must be completed before the deadline has been created.
Also, something that I thought I would share with all of you is that we raised $20.88 (USD) for the WMF in the December 2013 drive. It may not sound like a lot but considering that that was raised just because we reviewed articles, I would say that's pretty good! With that success, pledges can be made for the upcoming drive if you wish.
More info regarding the drive and full descriptions regarding the changes to this drive can be found on the the drive page. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a message on the drive talk page.
I look forward to your participation and hope that because of it, some day the backlog will be gone!

Magazine polls
That sounds a bit WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS; some of the sources on Gomes do actually write about other women and how it's remarkable or significant that they featured on a magazine's list, which sounds like a useful yardstick for which polls are worth mentioning in an encyclopedia biography. We risk cherry-picking if we're presenting poll results which never got any press attention - does Gomes rising to 8th position and dropping to 94th imply that she was most famous in 2013 and is now in decline, or just that AskMen ran a feature on her in the same month that they asked readers to think of some women for a poll? --McGeddon (talk) 08:54, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
- Having said that, I see the article apparently passed a GA review in December, so I'll raise this on the talk page. --McGeddon (talk) 08:55, 22 February 2014 (UTC)

Malapropism
Hello, TonyTheTiger. You recently added the template {{Much Ado About Nothing}} to the article Malapropism. Although the article does talk a bit about Dogberry, I wouldn't say that the article is really related to the play. How widely do you think that template should be used? (By the way, you also added a link to Malapropism in the template. Since Mrs. Malaprop comes from Sheridan, not Shakespeare, a link via the redirect Dogberryism would make more sense.)
