Image copyright problem with Image:Liriano.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Liriano.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

JSG Basketball League
A tag has been placed on JSG Basketball League, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why JSG Basketball League is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:JSG Basketball League. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. -- TorriTorri 19:54, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Logos
Yes, unfree material should only be used for critical commentary (see intro to WP:FUC). For club logos, this means they should only ever be used on the article about the club. ed g2s • talk 13:47, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I did attend St. Joseph school. I graduated in 1995. I looked for an article about the church and/or school but couldn't find one. What is the link for it? We could merge them or just link to the school from the church article and vice versa. --Gnosbush 03:00, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Image:Tony batista.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Tony batista.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Welcome
Welcome to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Minnesota. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have about the project or Wikipedia. Since you said you were interested in tedious jobs, I have an idea that I plan to pursue, but I'll need help from others to make it work. There are three articles with a lot of overlapping content, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Minneapolis-St. Paul. I'd like both the Minneapolis and St. Paul articles to exclusively cover information pertinent to within their respective city limits. Then use the Minneapolis-St. Paul article to capture things pertaining to the metro area but not within either of the two cities. I've worked on the St. Paul article quite a bit and feel as if it's pretty good. It's a current nominee for GA status, but the Minneapolis article is full of stuff that shouldn't be there. Does that sound like something you could help with? Appraiser 15:02, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Morneau.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Morneau.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. First of all, this is in no way a problem. I was just wondering why the table of contents list appears on the article when this template is used when {{tocright}} or {{tocleft}} is not put in the editing of the page, when it doesn't appear to be a part of this template. Can you please explain this to me? Ksy92003 (Talk·Contribs) 01:31, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, that was exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you. I am relatively new to Wikipedia (November, 2006), and am still learning some of the basics. Thanks for helping clear that up for me. Ksy92003 (Talk·Contribs) 06:55, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I am quite aware of "What Links Here." The template's vars should be of a consistence case, so I updated the template. I realize this will cause all articles using the template to be updated, that is the intention. — Linnwood 16:08, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, I've got a problem now. For some reason, I was using this template for the 2007 New York Yankees season, yet for some reason it doesn't list the owner, manager, television network, and radio station on the template in the article. Do you know why this is and how to correct this error? Thanks.Never mind, I changed it. Linnwood made a change to the template that made it ineffective. I reverted it back to allow the template to be completely functional. Ksy92003 (Talk·Contribs) 01:00, 3 February 2007 (UTC)- The solution is to fix the articles, not leave the template ill formated. — Linnwood 03:25, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:2003 Twins.jpeg
Thanks for uploading Image:2003 Twins.jpeg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 20:20, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Image:Memorial_stadium_1939.jpg
I have tagged Image:Memorial_stadium_1939.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Rettetast 10:49, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Template:MNTwinsYearly
A tag has been placed on Template:MNTwinsYearly requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. AfD nomination of Saint Joseph's School (MN)
An editor has nominated Saint Joseph's School (MN), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Saint Joseph's School (MN) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 16:59, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

This month's newsletter was designed and written by Wizardman, jj137, and Blackngold29. If you would like to contribute to future newsletters, please contact the Baseball WP outreach dept. |
Baseball has a history unlike any other sport. It has been played in countless countries throughout the decades, and it will undoubtedly continue play for many more. On this eve, some the finest players the sport has to offer will take the field at the Yankee Stadium. Four popes spoke there, Pelé scored goals there, "The Greatest [football] Game Ever Played" was battled out there, John Philip Sousa lead a band there, George Costanza worked there; but what do all these events have in common? They fail to reach the level of greatness that the baseball that was played there did. In 1923, a man named Babe Ruth decided to build a new house, and over the years, that house was a home to some of the greatest baseball ever played. If I were to list out all of these great moments, it would be longer than the bill for the New Yankee Stadium. So I'll sum it up by saying that we can remember these great moments by adding them to this place we've gathered at for future generations to read about, to learn about, to dream about; but more importantly we can watch tonight and we can remember how baseball is unlike anything else that we will encounter in our lives. — Blackngold29 |

Technically, it was MoA Field for all of a week or 10 days while the Twins were still playing there, thanks to their surprise appearance in the ALDS. Not that it matters, since everyone still calls it just "the Metrodome" anyway. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 18:31, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
