Hello, I'm Odysseus1479. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to David Cameron seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. —Odysseus1479 01:46, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Spain has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.
- ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made was constructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this message from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
- For help, take a look at the introduction.
- The following is the log entry regarding this message: Spain was changed by Tomkinsr (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.929864 on 2018-04-30T17:53:53+00:00 .
Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 17:54, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
- I've just taken a look at that edit. It is so far away from what we are about at Wikipedia that you will likely be blocked if there are any more like that. SpinningSpark 17:26, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
- Since your response on my talk page makes it clear that you do not understand that such edits are not acceptable here, I have blocked you indefinitely until you can explain to us that you do understand. SpinningSpark 21:33, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
Deadlinks
[edit]In general, you should not remove references that have gone dead as you did here. The ref still remains the source of the information in the article, and it can often be recovered from an archive or another copy found elsewhere. If you remove it, future editors will not have the information to help track it down or find a replacement. If you can't fix it yourself, you can mark it with {{deadlink}}. In any case, never write comments about it in the article. If it needs discussing, use the article talk page instead. SpinningSpark 10:02, 30 December 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Your addition to Charles Lennox, 4th Duke of Richmond has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. I cannot see what you are talking about. I own the photographs, I took them just south of where I live.
- The issue wasn't with the photographs. You copied the whole paragraph starting "During the summer of 1819 Richmond undertook an extensive tour..." from this source into the article. Cordless Larry (talk) 19:04, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
Interesting. I had asked a friend to provide me with some background, he is a local historian, and the text would have been what he had provided to me. I have never seen the webpage you just provided a link to before and was not aware that my friend had copied that paragraph to me to satisfy my request. Golly, mea culpa???
- Well, I've fixed it now in any case. Cordless Larry (talk) 21:22, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

Request reason:
Your reason here Unfortunately the terse messaging that Spinningspark is providing is insufficient for me to understand the problem and thus the reason I have been blocked
Decline reason:
If you cannot understand why you were blocked for edits like this, we cannot unblock you.
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 06:22, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Not an unblock request. If you uploaded images to Commons, you need to deal with them there. When you edit Wikipedia, you essentially turn that edit over to Wikipedia, and it will not be removed just because you want it to be. If there is some sort of copyright issue with text you have added, please read WP:COPYVIO for guidance. 331dot (talk) 15:45, 25 May 2019 (UTC)

I have been informed that all the Images I had uploaded to Wikimedia Commons are all subject to Copyright Infringement. As such, it is important to delete all images contributed by Tomkinsr to Wikimedia Commons
Decline reason:
You need to go and make that request over at Commons, then. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 06:33, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
