My name is Wikipe-tan. Since 2003 I have functioned as a mascot for Wikipedia.

Today I want to share a few words about our site and what you can do to help me ensure that it stays healthy.

Wikipedia was created in 2001 as a not for profit, and its editors and contributors have worked hard to expand the encyclopedia to its current state. Our site has evolved and the editors have evolved with it, yet a fundamental truth remains: the Achilles Heel of the site is financing. We do not sell ads on site, so we are at the mercy of those who would donate to ensure that we can meet the needs placed upon us.

Today I appeal to you make a donation. It doesn't have to big, it just needs to be made. Every little bit helps. In donating you will help us reach our goal of making the sum of all human knowledge available to everyone.

Knowledge is power, and therefore the most powerful are they who are the most knowledgeable. Before you decide that you can not donate, why not take a look around and see if you find something you like here. I bet you will, we have a wide variety of articles to interest anybody. If you find something you like then consider donating to help ensure that the material will be adequately supported in the time to come.

So won't please consider adding a few more coins to my cup? I would appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Wikipe-tan

November 16, 2008
Kagura is given time off by the SDCD by Ayame under Kiri's recommendations due to PTSD after killing the middle school doctor in the previous operation, whose death has also been covered up by the SDCD from the rest of the public due to the involvement of the paranormal in her death as well as with "her" victims. Witnesses to the doctor's death, who had been Kagura's classmates, mocked her for her actions until she told them why she had to do it. Yomi is also given some time off to console Kagura. One night, Yomi's adopted father was attacked by an unknown assailant in the Isayama residence, being caught off his guard.
08"Whereabouts of Revenge"
Transliteration: "Fukushū no Yukuhe" (Japanese: 復讐行方)
November 23, 2008
After the death of Yomi's adopted father due to his serious injuries from being attacked by the unknown assailant, Yomi's foster uncle takes control of the head of the branch family and decides that Mei will become the exorcist and Yomi is forced to hand over Shishiou to him. Nori tries to track down the assassin who murdered Yomi's foster father while rift grows from the Isayamas over who should really inherit the control of the family as anti-demon exorcists. Mei is told by Kazuhiro that he had given her a Sesshōseki after being killed. Later, Yomi and Mei face off in a life or death match where everything comes to light of recent events with the revelation of Mei being the assassin herself. In anger, Yomi stabs Mei with her naginata.
09"Spiral of Crime"
Transliteration: "Tsumi no Rasen" (Japanese: 罪螺旋)
November 30, 2008
Yomi becomes very disabled after an attack by Kazuhiro during an encounter in a local park to follow up on the lead of Mei being possessed by the Sesshōseki before being rescued and treated in a nearby hospital. The wounded Yomi is accused of murdering Mei due to her inheriting the position of being the top anti-demon exorcist in the Isayama family and being told the bad news on Nori. Yomi loses everything due to this and Kazuhiro reappears again in her room to offer a deal for her restored life during a visit when he gives her a Sesshōseki for her to use. Afterwards, she turns up missing from her hospital room when Kagura comes to check on her.
10"Behind the Tragedy"
Transliteration: "Higeki no Ura" (Japanese: 悲劇裏)
December 7, 2008
While Yomi goes missing, Kagura and the others are called on to take on the kashas in the Greater Tokyo Area without her help with the SDCD on the scene as the PDCH try to attack a kasha by themselves. Noriyuki investigates the attack on Yomi and comes to a conclusion that some person is pulling the strings. As Kagura and the others finish their job, Yomi appears, as the mysterious assailant. As Yomi flees, Kagura and Noriyuki give chase to her, in which, Noriyuki confronts Yomi, but cannot find the strength to kill his supposed fiancé as he watches Yomi kill Kazuki without any remorse after she captures him with Ranguren in the streets. As Yomi corners Kagura, a mysterious figure comes to Kagura's rescue and faces Yomi.
11"Disturbance of Fate"
Transliteration: "Unmei no Midare" (Japanese: 運命乱)
December 14, 2008
After her father is mortally wounded by Yomi in an attempt to rescue her even with the use of Byakuei, Kagura stays by his side as he slowly dies, having a heart-to-heart conversation with him for the first time. Meanwhile, the remaining members of the SDCD decide to confront Yomi directly themselves in an industrial area led by Ayame and Kiri with disaster on the SDCD operators despite having superior numbers when they fought Yomi. After her father passes, Kagura inherits the Sesshouseki from him and receives a new sword from Michael: Michael 13 before she sets out to take down Yomi herself and eliminate the threat of the Sesshōseki in her body.
12"Yearning Prayer"
Transliteration: "Inori no Kogare" (Japanese: 祈焦)
December 21, 2008
Once the SDCD discovers Yomi's current position, Kagura and the other surviving SDCD operatives decide to pursue and stop her once and for all as the remaining PDCH and SDPH operators move in to assault Yomi and take her down. Though Yomi eventually gains an upper hand in her fight with Kagura, she is temporarily stopped by Noriyuki who helps Kagura retreat after being wounded. After retreating, Noriyuki bandages Kagura up and convinces her that Yomi is no longer the person she knew; Yomi, in the meantime, struggles to gain control over will. As Yomi and Kagura meet again and fight for one last time, Yomi is finally able to give in and allow Kagura to kill her. Two years later, life continues on for those involved in the ranks of the SDCD, and Kagura prepares to face a monster with Kensuke Nimura.

My proposal

[edit]

To simplify the national end of the current task force structure, I would be combining every national task force into continental task forces that assume responsibility for the nations once handled independently through their own task forces. The reorganized structure would like this:

African military history
this would remain independent since it already covers a continent.
Asia Pacific Military History
This would be created by merging the Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific military history, Chinese military history, Japanese military history, Korean military history, South Asian military history, & Southeast Asian military history task forces together into one single, unified task force that covers the entire Asia pacific region. Consolidation of this nature would make it easier for us to monitor the articles currently being covered in each of the above task forces more easily.
European military history
This would include the current Balkan military history, Baltic states military history, British military history, Dutch military history, French military history, German military history, Italian military history, Nordic military history, Polish military history, Russian, Soviet and CIS military history, and Spanish military history task forces. Uniting all of these together into one continental task forces would further reduce the over head we need to spend on the existing task forces.
North American military history
This would be created to take over the role currently being filled by the Canadian military history and the United States military history task forces.
South American Military task force
this would remain independent since it already covers a continent.

That would leave the following as regional task forces: Latin American military history Middle Eastern military history Ottoman military history

Admittedly, we could break up these three task forces and allow there current focus to be assumed by the above mentioned continental task forces, but then there would be no regions such as it were, and that could be problematic. That could be partially alleviated by the introduction on more regional task forces that are large enough to be of use to the project. Another advantage to this schematic is that we can gut some of the period and conflict task forces on grounds that they are now being better covered based on nation of origin. As a draft, my theory is that the above could be merged:

  • Early Muslim military history - this could be assumed by the Middle Eastern task force.
  • American Revolutionary War - This could be assumed by the North American task force.
  • Napoleonic era - This could be assumed by the European task force.
  • American Civil War - This could be assumed by the North American task force.

That leaves us with ~24 task forces in total after the major restructuring, down from the ~47 we currently have.

My administrator policy has always been that administrators be thou for the contributors. As an administrator (or admin for short) I firmly believe that it is my duty to assist contributors to the best of my ability and within the confines of all applicable policies and guidelines.

I realize that I am only human, and therefore I will inevitably make a mistake or two in exercising administrative privileges on Wikipedia. In light of this, I invite my fellow administrators to fix any mistake I make here on Wikipedia. I will not consider it wheel-warring if you reverse my admin actions as long as you leave me a civil note telling me what you've done and why and as long as you're open to discussion with me should I disagree. I seek to learn from my mistakes, but learning can only be accomplished if both parties in a disagreement over a course of action are willing to talk to each other in a civil manner.

Finally, I am and always have been an administrator open to recall. To recall me I ask that you initiate a request for comment, explaining in detail the the action(s) that I have taken in the incident(s) that occurred. If consensus emerges during the request for comment that I have acted inappropriately then I will resign my adminship. Adminship is wonderful privilege to be entrusted with, but if you are not enough without the admin tools, you will never be enough with the admin tools.

Advice to one entrusted with responsibility

[edit]

Be thou for the people is taken from Exodus 18:19-23, in which Moses is given advice to govern his people:

You will surely wear out, both yourself and these people who are with you, for the task is too heavy for you; you cannot do it alone. Now listen to me: I will give you counsel, and God be with you. You be the people's representative before God, and you bring the disputes to God, then teach them the statutes and the laws, and make known to them the way in which they are to walk and the work they are to do. Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties and of tens. Let them judge the people at all times; and let it be that every major dispute they will bring to you, but every minor dispute they themselves will judge. So it will be easier for you, and they will bear the burden with you. Let them judge the people at all times; and let it be that every major dispute they will bring to you, but every minor dispute they themselves will judge. So it will be easier for you, and they will bear the burden with you. If you do this thing and God so commands you, then you will be able to endure, and all these people also will go to their place in peace.
