Starting this conversation, what specifically is a concern of the editor?

Will Burke be written as Anglo-Irish, Irish, or British?[edit]

and more importantly how will the editors determine this?

While its complicated issue (and the answer best be weighed on by scholars more knowledgeable than myself), how can this debacle be represented best in the article for the sake of the reader. While this is a relatively unimportant issue for the early life biography section of the article, it is important for topics which appear later in the article.

I’ve written some pieces on various Burke subjects for academia however I’m sure there’s people with more credibility than I involved with the matter. WaIterFord (talk) 18:18, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@WaIterFord Thank you for telling me, I will start a personal investigation into the matter, If you would like to read WP:COI to make sure that all is well, then I suggest doing so. We generally go hunt for many credible sources, and gain a general consensus of editor of the article. If all goes well, it should be representing what the majority of people think. Other than that, it may become a point in his biography that it is contested what his ethnicity or the such actually is. Toast (talk) 19:59, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, it’s just difficult because it seems even among credible publications there are disputes over many Burke topic. Despite being a widely publicized figure, due to the political nature of the time most were writing about him, those writings often conflict. WaIterFord (talk) 21:00, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
