I am considering doing the DYK review, but first, ref #8 does not work, and ref #17 is to a conference, which is considered unpublished, so should not be used a ref. Ref #21 had a doi that did not work. I replaced, and did a bit more on formating. In Context, last sentence of second paragraph does not make sense, and looking at the ref did not help. Competition entry, first paragraph, second sentence is unclear.
There is an issue you should be aware of: Health/Medical articles are supposed to comply with WP:MEDRS which is a special standard for references. Ref #21 and others do not meet this. I am considering approving it anyway, but there is a second tier of review before DYKs are posted, and it may be rejected there. David notMD (talk) 23:27, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
DYK
[edit]Please address comments left on the DYK page. Please submit one or more DYKs that are more interesting and more in line with the article. After each DYK, identify the specific reference or references that support the DYK. David notMD (talk) 20:02, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
- See more commentary. FYI - I've done ten DYKs. The process was never pro forma. Persevere. David notMD (talk) 09:12, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
Thank you so much for all the Feedback David notMD!! I am hopeful to get this DYK up! Tnbphd (talk) 06:00, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
- Approved. At Wikipedia:Did you know it has been moved into the Nominations (approved) list for November 28. In time will be moved into the Prep area, where a DYK Administrator will look it over one more time before moving it into the Queue list. It will then appear on the Main page for one day, typically resulting in a one-day viewing spike of several thousand viewings. Prior to your work, the article was getting around 10-20 views per day. David notMD (talk) 11:33, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
- As of 19 December, in Prep #4, to be moved soon into Queue #4 or #5 or #6. That means it should end up on the main page Dec 23-25. The attention of being a DYK often results in a modest flurry of article editing. David notMD (talk) 16:45, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
Some editing took place, and use of the DYK delayed to first week of January. David notMD (talk) 13:58, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
DYK for Frog pond effect
[edit]On 3 January 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Frog pond effect, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the frog pond effect describes how it is better for self-evaluation of competence to be a "big frog in a little pond"? You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Frog pond effect), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

[edit]Congratulations! With 12,032 views, your hook on the frog pond effect has placed you as a "big frog" with one of the most viewed hooks for the month of January. Accordingly, your hook has been included at DYKSTATS January. All the more impressive since it was not a lead/photo hook. Keep up the good work! Cbl62 (talk) 00:30, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
