Hey there Tmac,

Maybe you missed it when I added it to Jump shot (basketball)'s talk page, but I added a note explaining my removal of the list of "excellent jump shooters" from the article. The list that you keep adding back into the article is not neutral and can't be sourced, so it's contrary to Wikipedia's guidelines to have something like that in there. Everyone will have a different opinion as to who is or is not an "excellent" shooter, so that's just never going to fly. Thanks for your time, A Traintalk 20:02, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And just so you know, Tmac, I made similar edits to Swingman and Three-point field goal. I'm not picking on you, but Wikipedia articles have to cite references, not just opinions. A Traintalk 20:12, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
TMac, did you even read this note that I left you. Please, stop adding unverifiable, POV original research into articles. Please. If you disagree with me, you at least need to start talking to me. A Traintalk 20:48, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

Tmac, since you persist in making edits against policy and refuse to communicate, and because I believe that you are editing on both this account and on User:Kobetmacyao, I am going to block you from editing. The duration of the block will be initially set for 30 days. If you leave a message on this talk page (the only page you will be able to edit) explaining your actions and demonstrating that you understand Wikipedia's policies regarding neutral point-of-view, attribution and sock-puppetry. then I will consider unblocking you. You were warned. A Traintalk 19:30, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 30 days in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for disruptive editing and sock-puppetry. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

Please provide references for your edits. Warrush 19:43, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My concern about your username

[edit]

Hello, Tmacrockets0115, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Let me reassure you that my writing here means I don't think your username is grossly, blatantly, or obviously inappropriate; such names get reported straight to Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention or blocked on sight. This is more a case where opinions might differ, and it would be good to reach some consensus — either here or at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names. So I look forward to a friendly discussion, and to enjoying your continued participation on Wikipedia. Thank you. Busy Bee 02:23, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Essentially, the point is that your username appears to match the name of a well-known person. If, of course, you are that person, then using your own name is beyond reproach. If you are not, could we discuss things as in the above message?Busy Bee 02:23, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

question

[edit]

Or are you really the basketball player Tracy Mcgrady. I'm his big fan. Busy Bee 21:35, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Chensiyuan 15:50, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Let's see what else is illegitimate about your edits: spelling mistakes abound. The references are not formatted as they are in the article. The information is mightily inappropriate for an encyclopedia. They add nothing of value in encyclopedic terms. Chensiyuan 16:03, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia

[edit]

Regarding Chris Bosh, trivia is, by its very definition, trivial and thus not notable, the basic requirement for inclusion in wikipedia. see WP:TRIVIA and WP:3RR. Wikipedia is not a list of pointless facts. Merbabu 15:59, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

June 20

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. It appears you have not followed this policy at LeBron James. Please always observe our core policies. Thank you. --OnoremDil 19:42, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tracy Mcgrady

[edit]

I can't believe it, you username is Tmacrockets0115 which refers to Tracy Mcgrady and the Rockets and you don't even know Tracy Mcgrady is the captain. Come on. Brave warrior 14:18, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are T-Mac's fan and you don't even know he's the captain. If you still don't think he he please see:http://www.nba.com/rockets/roster/2006/. Brave warrior 20:30, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Same editing problems from before

[edit]

Hello Tmac, I'm the administrator that blocked you to get your attention earlier this year. I see that you're still making the same opinion-based POV edits in the basketball articles as before and still not communicating with fellow editors. I'm not going to waste my time explaining this to you all over again, you can just scroll up and see them. Note this well: I'm out of patience with your editing. Your failure to communicate with other editors and to edit in a way that conforms with Wikipedia policy is disruptive. If I see you or any of your sockpuppet accounts making the same contentious edits without discussion, I'm going to block you again and for much longer. You've been advised. A Traintalk 18:50, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tmac, I'm going to give this one last shot before I block you again. The next time I block you, I will block you indefinitely and put your account up for a community ban. Wikipedia editing is a privilege, not a right.
Look at your last edit; what happened here? User:Brave warrior added a list of people that he considers notable point forwards. He didn't add a reference of any kind. As far as we know, that list was just his opinion. You come around, and sure enough, your opinion of who is or is not a notable point forward is different, so you remove a couple, based on your opinion. If everyone did that, there would never be a stable article, do you understand? Everyone has a different way of thinking about sports; unless we cite sources to back up our claims, then we will never have a stable encyclopedia.
Because you removed items from another editor's list and didn't add any of your own, I'm not going to block you this time. But the next time you make another opinionated edit, I will put you up for a community ban and I assure you, there won't be anyone arguing to save you. A Traintalk 22:31, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That edit is fine and it is good. Tracy Mcgrady and Oliver Miller are not point forwards. That edit didn't violate any policies. Brave warrior 16:12, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Most of your edits are good edits (except for the ones on LeBron James but that's just one edit and it that doesn't deserve a block), there are no reasons for you to be blocked this time. I will argue to save you. Brave warrior 17:22, 18 July 2007 (UTC) I also found out that you are not using your sock any more so I will definitely argue to save you. Brave warrior 20:35, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I suggest you be a member of the Wikipedia:WikiProject National Basketball Association just like I did since I suppose you are a basketball fan just like me and have contributed to many basketball articles. Brave warrior 14:36, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
