AbdulRahman
[edit]I see you corrected the thread naming from a guy registered as AbdulRahman 14 and posing to be MERC-C user. This goes against the Wikipedian rules. He has also publicly slandered a anonymous user. We must be fair in upholding Wikipedia's rules and this guy must be punished as he has broken the rules. Your continued co-operation is needed to complete the investigation. Thank you. Damien22 (talk) 20:01, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Re: Regarding edits made during January 1, 2007 (UTC)
[edit]So sorry, I was trying out IRCmonitor for the first time and reverted a vandal's edit and for some reason it blanked the page. :( BJTalk 09:42, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm sorry. That was my fault that I wrote on the actual article part and not just the discussion part, as the page in supposed to be a to do list for the Kylie Minogue discography article. More things to work on the article will be added later. -- Underneath-it-All 03:52, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Having a search redirect to something
[edit]I figured since you could probably help me out some, you can gimmie a little help.
I am trying to figure out how you can do a redirect on a page. I was typing in "Hook and Ladder play", and nothing came up, yet the info can be found out in Hook and lateral play (American football). So I figured I could ask for help in how "Hook and Ladder play" can redirect to "Hook and lateral play (American football)"
Thanks for the help :) Whammies Were Here (PYLrulz) 06:24, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks again :). I think I have been able to get it down now. Whammies Were Here (PYLrulz) 06:34, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I had realized that once I had tested the redirect. Thanks for getting that fixed up too. Whammies Were Here (PYLrulz) 06:40, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Thank You For The Push
[edit]I took the plunge! Wish me luck. Just H 00:51, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah. Serves me right for trying to help the encyclopedia, eh? Anyway, thanks and have a good night. Just H 01:43, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Hey!
[edit]If you want your userpage to look better, try making something like my menu template on my user page.
Hint: Use the table format.

Thanks for the Welcome
[edit]Thank you for the Welcome! It fills up my empty talk page quite nicely. Kelden 22:22, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
RE: Quick Question
[edit]If they have been blatant enough a vandal then it would not hurt to go ahead and report them. However its better to warn them the first time with a template like: {{subst:removewarn}}. If they continue to blank the warnings then request an administrator to semi-protect or fully protect their talk page depending on whether an IPs or user accounts are blanking the page.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 00:48, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Anti Vandalism Tool
[edit]A while back you clued me in to a very cool vandalism tool, and it worked great for a while. Sadly, recently it has simply stopped working altogether. Any ideas? JCO312 00:55, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, it's back. However, a different problem is now presenting itself. When I try and rollback vandalism while comparing two different versions of a page (which often happens when I try and revert vandalism on the pages I have on my watchlist) I get the following text
- Page rollback error: Last editor is <>, not <>. The user may have already been reverted.
- I get this despite the fact that the edit has not yet been reverted. This didn't used to be a problem, so I'm not sure what I did, but if you could fix it for me, that would be wonderful. Thanks, JCO312 15:02, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Hello. Since you were in Category:Wikipedians requesting help improving their user pages, do you need any help? Please reply on my talk page. S.D. ¿п? § 19:37, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- I keep my name on there, because I always appreciate tips on how to improve. I'm not very creative you see, so I would like some critiscism and ideas from others. Tlim7882 02:43, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
Hope you like it! Happy editing! S.D. ¿п? § 02:20, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Sorry I was making the article when I hade a editing conflict, and since I am new I didn't know what to do and kept it the way I made it. This is an accident! I am very interested in your edit, so could you please redo it? -User_talk:Kevin Kahle
Re: Copyright Violation?
[edit]Hello! First of all, Wikipedia is not an instruction manual. Wikipedia articles should not include instructions or advice (legal, medical, or otherwise), suggestions, or contain "how-to"s. This includes tutorials, walk-throughs, instruction manuals, video game guides, and recipes. The conversations are not necessary for the article at all and should be removed. Now, uploading the full transcript of all the morse conversations in the game is similar to upload the lyrics of a song or the full conversation of a character in a play. Per our text guideline of Fair Use, brief attributed quotations of copyrighted text used to illustrate a point, establish context, or attribute a point of view or idea may be used under fair use. The full transcript is not considered brief, thus it does not fit our fair use definition, and thus, may be copyright violation. Note that if the text appears in the game, then it is copyrighted by the game developer, even if the page where you found the information does not give a copyright notice. Finally, the game itself is considered a primary source, while Wikipedia prefers using secondary or tertiary sources to demonstrate points. -- ReyBrujo 17:43, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- Well, considering it is Morse, that they are likely to come with the message and then translated into Morse and not joined random dots and lines that suddenly turned into a real message, and that the page is completely unnecessary (I am not going to copy a full page of a book in a temporary page to try to prove my point to someone else, but instead tell him to go to determined book, chapter, page number and paragraph), I am left with little alternative but to send the page to deletion. Just tell the one who does object you "Play the game, reach stage 9, go to the tower to the left and listen." When you are writing an article about a character and someone objects some fact, you just reference it with the book name, chapter and page. I give my source, if he wants to check it, he can buy the book and read it. -- ReyBrujo 18:04, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- What is the problem? I searched the article and the only mention to X-Ray is at Suddenly, he is captured by a squad of soldiers wearing unusual armor, appearing to be some form of special forces (currently known only as X-Ray agents). Is that sentence really needed? -- ReyBrujo 18:20, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- In Chrono Trigger, people abused the in-game citations (basically, they used the text the characters were saying as reference). While this is not really the best solution (the article reached featured status because of the many fans of the series and not because of a real discussion about citations), you may do something similar. Truth be told, if it is really a major plot point, it will be found somewhere else. Of course, the game is pretty new to have fan sites about it (or may never see such sites, unless it becomes a classic like Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy VII). See if you can quote the conversation in the game at worst, if there are no site talking about it. -- ReyBrujo 20:01, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- I have no problem with that. As I said, you can use the Chrono Trigger solution for now, until a reliable source is found. -- ReyBrujo 20:13, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

vandalism to batley grammar school page
[edit]Just to let you know that the ip address 62.3.253.156 is actually batley grammar schools ip address and that the people who wrote attacking things about members of staff have been dealt with. Please don't block the ip address from editing though. (pupils and ex pupils find it funny to edit the page and we all thank people like you who pick up on these things)

Anti-Vandal Tool
[edit]A while back you clued me in to an anti-vandal tool. It's stopped working, and I of course have no idea how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. JCO312 20:30, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- The links are still there, but they no longer function. At least, the ROLLBACK functions no longer work. The messages for the talk pages still work fine. Thanks, JCO312 16:42, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
