To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage.

First tasks

[edit]

Tlgenders, Congratulations, you've completed all of the first tasks. However, you should practice editing your user page by using what you've learned in the tutorial, Wikipedia:Training/For students, to make sections, bulleted lists, and some wikilinks at a minimum. It's pretty easy, and you'll have to know this soon enough. Crtew (talk) 23:13, 7 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nice! I like Dr Who too! Crtew (talk) 20:42, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Image problem

[edit]

Tlgenders, I had to take down your image and nominate your file for speedy delete as it is a copyright infringement. The AFP (Agence France Presse) was stamped at the side of the image, and for that image it is claiming to be a copyright holder. I'm not saying that this image belongs to the AFP as I do not know. I had a situation where someone speedy deleted an image I put up and claimed it was from the AFP when clearly it wasn't. It was still deleted and I'm contesting it. However, with the image you uploaded that was clearly marked and I'm sure you have the research like I did to show that the image was from another source. In which case, you would still need to get a clean image and you still may have problems. Try again. Crtew (talk) 02:57, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Putting the same image up that is unstamped may not be the best strategy .... I sent you a further explanation in email. Crtew (talk) 03:20, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It may take a few minutes from the time the email is sent for it to show up in your inbox. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{You've got mail}} or {{ygm}} template.

Thanks for uploading File:Najib-Layal.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 03:33, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I undid my previous edit on Layal Najib's page per Malik Shabazz's message above. Crtew (talk) 03:38, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review

[edit]

Info Box:

Personal:

  • add content to this section

Impact:

  • add more detail to this section. Would like to know how they answered to the questions asked about targeting the media with the attacks.

Misc:

  • not sure if all the stuff at the top needs to be there, I have looked at other articles and they do

not have all the info you have at the very top. The part more pacifically is starting with (Assigned Layal Najib ) Ending with (Human Rights Watch [14])

In closing:

  • I think your article has good content just needs so touching up to make it great.
