It's still not clear that you are releasing the material - you say yourself that you have a copyright notice "to prevent copying" but that you are letting Wikipedia use the text. Wikipedia text is available to be freely reused by anyone in any way (including commercially) and can be modified by them in anyway. So you cannot have this both ways.
Also, the text itself is not encyclopaedic and is written in a tone that does not suit Wikipedia. So it is not something we can use here anyway. ➔ REDVEЯS has changed his plea to guilty 11:47, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I dont understand why different admins have different opinions !! This was accepted by User:Chaser .
Please revert back the changes and Let us open this for discussion .
In addition to all the other problems with the material, including a long section of copyrighted text without any claim of fair use and without a free license is a clear violation of WP:NFCC. There is no way in a million years this material would be acceptable on Wikipedia. The fact that one person who happens to be an administrator took a look and chose not to complain does not give any special status to the article. Copyright violations such as this are generally deleted immediately. Wikidemo (talk) 11:58, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, the text itself is not encyclopaedic and is written in a tone that does not suit Wikipedia. So it is not something we can use here anyway - as I said above. It cannot be included in the article anyway. ➔ REDVEЯS has changed his plea to guilty 12:01, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Considering the fact that I am the author of the article both at the site and wiki, tell me what changes has to be done for the article to be in wiki.
The article is well referenced, contains a claim of notability and is not in any way soapboxing, is not covered by WP:NOT and is not WP:SPAM. This and a couple of other AfD nominations were clearly being made in bad faith (childish spite, because your article was nominated), were not formatted correctly and the reasons you were giving were spurious. I've allowed two of your nominations to go through; but I'm not going to allow the others. ➔ REDVEЯS has changed his plea to guilty 12:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Being myself from the state of Kerala , India , I may be in a better position to judge the notability of Joy Alukkas , also claimed to be from Kerala. Please help me understand how you have concluded the notability of Joy Alukkas !!!
The guidelines for inclusion in Wikipedia are at Wikipedia:Notability. However, the main reason for preventing you from nominating this article again - I repeat - is because it was clearly being made in bad faith (childish spite, because your article was nominated). ➔ REDVEЯS has changed his plea to guilty 12:34, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Given your comment
here, I still think you're OK for copyright (although I am not a lawyer), but please remember my comment was in the context of speedy deletion - the slower articles for deletion process has different standards for copyright violations and is generally more strict. In any case, the issues brought up in the AFD include sourcing and notability, so my "green light" doesn't necessarily save the article.
Please note that the {{helpme}} template should only go on user talk pages, not pages in any other namespace. In addition, they should be used if you require help editing the wiki, not information requests, etc. That is why we have chat rooms. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 04:53, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
For the possibly unearned award. I can and will try to help the project out to the degree possible, given the various other activities I seem to be obligated to perform. John Carter (talk) 19:24, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the award. Your 'tourist attraction' series is coming out very well. I am sure you have plans to cover more cities. Regards. - P.K.Niyogi (talk) 12:29, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your support. Actually I am from Omallur and I know very well Fr. Thomas kuzhinapurath. I and Fr. Thomas use the user id kuzhinapurath. Today when I come to Trivandrum to meet Fr. Thomas Kuzhinapurath we created a user id for myself. Simon Cheakkanal (talk) 06:55, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Quick Question : Is the image created by you ?? The problem is , if it is taken from any other website or copyrighted book , it will be removed by admins very soon. - Tinucherian (talk) 09:52, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Reply : ;) I understand that. What I am trying to ask is that , is the image created by you and NOT taken from somewhere else ??.
If the image is created by you , Click 'Upload file' link on the left side Wikipedia Navigation menu (under toolbox) . Do as per the insturctions. Once done , let me know , I will help you.
Hey Tinu, just wanted to let you know that one of the criteria for DYK suggestions (also called hooks) is that, they should be: short and concise (fewer than about 200 characters, including spaces).
In this particular edit, you have added additional bit which increased the hook length well above the acceptable limit. If number of letters are within the limit, and if you want to add an additional piece of info, then it is recommended to put that as a separate hook below the one which is already present, instead of modifying the other's hook.
Anyway, now we have multiple hooks given there, so this is not going to be a problem. But just wanted to make you aware of this, for future DYK suggestions. Hope this helps. Cheers, - KNMTalk15:26, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Tinu,
Congratulations. My article Fr. Thomas Kuzhinapurath already passed 5 days in AfD. Now can we delete the tag? omalloor 04:43, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
I saw that before, but am not entirely sure exactly what happened there. It'll take looking over the template to figure out what the problem is, and then adjusting it. It should probably be finished tomorrow, though. John Carter (talk) 02:28, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Very sorry about the delay, I've been on a bit of a break from the project this week. I've gotten your project's watchlist started, and, it's where you asked for it to be. I'll be updating it every 24 hours, unless you guys ask me to stop :) Enjoy! SQLQuery me!00:07, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Image copyright problem with Image:Cavery Nisargadhama layout.jpg
Image Copyright problem
Thank you for uploading Image:Cavery Nisargadhama layout.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
It is a self made image. I have added it now. {{self|cc-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} was selected from the drop down menu. Dont Know why it didnt work - Tinucherian (talk) 15:16, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
