If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Summer Cummings requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ttonyb (talk) 06:18, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion

[edit]
Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia.
I'm sorry, but this has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD. Generally, articles are speedily deleted when there is no assertion of significance or they fall into things to avoid. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information. Any deficiencies should be remedied before reposting.
For basic information on beginning to write an article see User:Dloh/new.
Sourcing is incredibly important for an encyclopedia. Be sure to list your sources at the bottom of the article.
For more general information about the deletion process, please see User:Dlohcierekim/deletion
If you believe the subject does in fact meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information, please contact me on my talk page.

If you wish to make test edits or work on the article before creating it, you can create a test page at User:Timmy43/sandbox and consider using the Article Wizard to guide you through the creation process.
Cheers, and happy editing. Dlohcierekim 03:46, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. OlYeller21Talktome 21:53, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Timmy43, and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia!

I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you worked on, Amy Murphy (newscaster), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

It helps to explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the Help Desk. Thanks again for contributing! —EncMstr (talk) 01:04, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Jamosa, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Japanese and Current (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Deletion notifications

Back in November, you got a PROD notification Amy Murphy (newscaster), and it was during one of the template testing project's experiments. If you could go here and leave us some feedback about what you think about the new versions of the templates we tested, that would be very useful. Replaceable fair use File:Cleveland Browns Helmet Logo 2906.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Cleveland Browns Helmet Logo 2906.gif. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mtking (edits) 22:38, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Present logo script of the NFL's Cleveland Browns..gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:00, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:PaulCrouch.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:PaulCrouch.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:36, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Virginia Hill, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to contain material copied and closely paraphrased from http://www.lacndb.com/Info.php?name=Virginia%20Hill, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:

It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Virginia Hill saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:09, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid that Chuck Heaton also seems to contain copied and closely paraphrased text, at least from [1]. I'm afraid that it will either copyright clearance for any duplicated or closely paraphrased text or to be rewritten as well. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:25, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
William O. Walker is also problematic and is now blanked and listed for evaluation. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:33, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm afraid that having found further issues in Arlyne Weiss-Brickman and Kathrine Baumann, I believe it is necessary to request a community review of your articles to ensure that they comply with our copyright policies. Per our policies, we cannot copy or closely paraphrase content from non-free sources, unless as brief and clearly marked quotations. Please see Wikipedia:Copy-paste. As you have now been alerted to these policies, you will not be given individual notices of issues found in articles. If you wish to see which articles have been checked and what has been found, please keep an eye on Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/Timmy43. We have a backlog in CCIs, so it may be some time before yours is completed. You are welcome to continue editing, but please be careful to ensure that your edits henceforth comply with our copyright policy, non-free content policy and guideline and Wikipedia:Plagiarism. In order to protect the site and our reusers, it is necessary to block accounts if people persist in placing copied content after being notified of these policies. If you have any questions about these policies or about the CCI, you are very welcome to come by my talk page. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:53, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Our copyright policies have been explained to you before. The article Hazel Medina demonstrates that you are still not following them. For example, the source says:

In Los Angeles, Medina was a member of Theater West and a founding member of the Group Repertory Theater. She was also a charter member and one-time president of the Kwanza Foundation, formed by African-American actresses to give back to inner-city communities.

You included the following content:

;In Los Angeles, Medina was a member of Theater West, and also a founding member of the Group Repertory Theater there. She was also a charter member and one-time president of the Kwanza Foundation, formed by African-American actresses to give back to inner-city communities.

I've bolded to make duplication more obvious. You've added two words.
You've changed a little more in content you added here:

Although she continued to find steady work, Medina began to grow increasingly frustrated by the lack of variety in roles for mature women of color, and she completed a B.A. in social work at Fordham University, the College at Lincoln Center, and subsequently a masters in social work from NYU. Medina retired as a caseworker in 2007.

But not much. The source says:

Although she continued to find work, Medina grew frustrated by the lack of variety in roles for mature women of color, and she completed a B.A. in social work at Fordham U., the College at Lincoln Center, and subsequently a masters in social work from NYU. Medina retired as a caseworker in 2007.

Please take the opportunity of this block to review our copyright practices. Future issues may lead to the indefinite suspension of this account. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:34, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. OlYeller21Talktome 02:51, 20 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've stubbed the article and removed claims that he is deceased. IMDb is not a reliable source, nor is Wikia. We received an email stating that he is still alive, so barring confirmation of death we default to considering that people are still alive. Please don't use IMDb as source for anything in the future. IMDb should be nothing more than an external link in any actor bio. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 21:12, 25 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, I'm a bit concerned about your work on the above mentioned article. It is clearly copied directly from Wikia without attribution. I've given some direction above the article, hoping you would take the time to address the issues appropriately, to no avail. At this point, lacking attribution, I'm inclined to stub the article. Please also remember to provide an edit summary, in addition to reviewing the Manual of Style for biographies. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me. Best regards, Cindy(talk) 02:54, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Cindamuse. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Jim Fritzell without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Please do not remove the Reference section and Reflist or citation template from articles. The citation template provides formatting and organizational features for footnotes, adding support for a reduced font size, columns, groups and list-defined references. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me. Cindy(talk) 22:53, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ted Bergmann, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Sanford, Out Of This World and Small Wonder (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Bob Schiller may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. The article Debbie James has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. reddogsix (talk) 01:38, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Debbie James has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable individual lacking ghits and gnews of substance. Appears to fail WP:BIO.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. reddogsix (talk) 15:05, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Al Simon requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. OlYeller21Talktome 06:41, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You've been blocked for this in the past. What gives? Is there any reason you shouldn't be blocked for creating copyright violations again? OlYeller21Talktome 06:42, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think you've already received a notification but if you haven't, I wanted to let you know that I've mentioned you here. That's the talk page of the administrator who has previously blocked you for copyright violations. I know that you've never used a talk page before on Wikipedia but you really should respond here or there. Not doing so may result in you being blocked or banned from editing Wikipedia. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted.

Please take this opportunity to be sure you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content. If you wish to resume editing, it may be necessary for you to demonstrate your understanding of these policies and reassure the community of your willingness to comply. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:02, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Timmy, I don't really know what to say about this other than the block is warranted. It seems that you're capable of communicating in English but chose not to. If you are able, you're going to need to communicate with other users about this issue. I really hope that you chose to do so. OlYeller21Talktome 02:23, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Ron Karabatsos

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. scope_creep 19:16, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
