Extended-confirmed required
[edit]Hi and welcome to Wikipedia! I just reverted your edit on Ruben Vardanyan article, because your account is not extended-confirmed. Since your total edit count is below threshold, you cannot make an edit in AA topics. Sincerely Aredoros87 (talk) 19:20, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Aredoros87,
- Thanks for your message. I've done some reading up and have found some stuff around extended confirmed accounts but can I ask what you mean exactly by AA topics? Does any account that edits this page need to be extended-confirmed?
- Sincerely Timb1976 Timb1976 (talk) 13:23, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- Please follow this link and see sanctions about Armenia-Azerbaijan topics.
- Besides, despite you've been reverted and warned, you made another edit. This is an not an constructive behavior, which can lead you being blocked. Especially your sourced content removal (about Vardanyan's relation to Putin) under the "Made the article more neutral in tone in a couple of instances" edit summary is pretty concerning. Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
Please also note that your number of edits is below the threshold for editing the articles that are under the scope of WP:GS/AA. But you may propose edits at talk of the articles. Grandmaster 10:13, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Grandmaster,
- Thank you very much for your explanation, it's very helpful. I will make a suggestion on the article's talk page. Timb1976 (talk) 15:31, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
