Brisbane meetup

[edit]

Hi there! We are organising a meetup on Saturday August 22 at 11am at the SLQ Café in South Brisbane, and we'd love for you to come along. A list of people interested in coming, and a discussion space has been created at Wikipedia:Meetup/Brisbane/8. Hope to see you there! Kerry (talk) 02:06, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Great to see your contributions on Jack Fryer!

Keep up the good work! If you need any help, feel free to ask.

I notice you have discovered the Visual Editor. It is a lot easier to use than the editor I taught you last year but the Visual Editor was still officially "beta release" at that time. I will be doing another session of Wikipedia edit training on Mon 8 Feb at UQ

and at that event I will be teaching Visual Editor for the first time now it's out of beta release. I've been using the VE during the beta release and, although there are some advanced features it isn't good at (or just can't do), I think it will be much easier for new contributors to learn.
