Atos
[edit]Hi tim362729, welcome to Wikipedia! Thankyou for being open and declaring your conflict of interest. Because you have requested changes to the Atos article at Talk:Atos (the correct place IMO) I'll probably respond there. Some of the changes seem sensible and non-controversial. - With your declared conflict of interest it's not advisable to make major edits to Atos, as you have done over the last month. I'm sure no one will have a problem with minor corrections but, for example, you removed the entire paragraph about Atos Healthcare from the introduction and also added publicity about a new automobile venture based on a press release. Sources really need to be reliable and independent of Atos to support this sort of addition (Reuters disown the press release so they evidently have not done any fact checking before reproducing the announcement). - It's worth noting https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AArturo_at_BP&action=historysubmit&diff=539664048&oldid=538904613 we can probably expect them to have another go at sneaking in the PR sometime. Pinkbeast (talk) 06:20, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
- To be honest, Tim362729 has openly declared their conflict of interest and shows all signs of doing things the right way. There's been plenty of non-neutral editing by other people in the article too, because Atos raises strong emotions amongst people. The Atos article is now one of the better-sourced articles on a large multinational corporation (which doesn't mean it's great, of course). Sionk (talk) 11:36, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response Sionk. My aim is not only to get the page better sourced, I like to see it balanced. I have seen other multinational corporations pages. These seems to have been able moderate the content to remove the emotion and leave the facts. This is something I would like to try and achieve with the Atos page and the controversy over disability benefit in the UK. While this is clearly an important issue, it is only a part of what the company in the UK does and is really a topic for discussion on forums other than Wiki. Would it be possible for me to contact you to seek your advice and discuss this further? Please respond via email first, perhaps we can have discussion later...(tim362729|t )(COI) 12:10, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

- By all means discuss your concerns here or on the article's Talk page. I wouldn't want to engage in private discussions. All the best! Sionk (talk) 12:18, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Atos. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Because you are the subject of the conflict of interest, you shouldn't remove the COI template yourself. Sionk (talk) 13:15, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
