User talk:Tiffspiro
Welcome!
Hello, Tiffspiro, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Will Beback talk 21:15, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- I checked a map. Yuin U. is a couple of blocks from the border, inside Compton. Please don't restore it to East Compton article unless it moves or the border changes. Will Beback talk 21:43, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- Here is a city map.[1] Zip codes don't mean anything - they cross city boundaries and they exist only for the convenience of the Postal Office. I have no way of knowing what city officials say. If you've been contacting the city about the university that would tend to indicate a level of involvement which implies a conflict of interest. Wikipedia is not a website for schools to advertise their programs. See WP:COI. Also see WP:3RR. If you continue to revert changes your editing priviliges may be suspended. Minor edits
[edit]On Wikipedia, a "minor edit" is one that does not change the meaning of an article. That would cover things like formatting changes or fixing typographical errors. Adding or deleting material is not minor. You might have set "mark all edits as minor" in your preferences. Will Beback talk 05:07, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
3RR warning
[edit]Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. Will Beback talk 05:41, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
