User talk:Tibettruth
Hello. Thank you for attempting to address the copyright concerns in Independent Tibet Network, but unfortunately the version that you created relied too heavily on the source for us to be able to use it. For example, the source document says, "Within the Tibetan movement we have provided an articulate, determined, and wide–ranging campaign. This has included establishing the world’s longest running vigil for Tibet outside the Chinese Embassy in London, direct action events to lobby government and other institutions, regular media briefings, an ongoing series of public events, a political prisoners campaign, which for 15 years has supported Tibetans inside Drapchi." Your revision said, "Within the Tibetan movement Independent Tibet Network has provided an articulate, determined, consistent and wide–ranging campaign. This has included establishing the world’s longest running vigil for Tibet outside the Chinese Embassy in London, promoting and supporting an international boycott of goods made in China, direct action events to lobby government and other institutions, regular media briefings, an ongoing series of public events across the UK (aimed at increasing understanding of the Tibetan issue), a political prisoners campaign, which for 18 years has supported Tibetans inside Drapchi." In order for us to be able to use a revision, the language must be rewritten from the original. We can use external sources as inspiration for ideas, but we cannot use them as a source of text. If you have questions about how to revise material to avoid copyright infringement, please see Wikipedia:Copyrights or feel free to address me at my talk page. You may also find assistance at Wikipedia's help desk, typically manned around the clock by volunteers. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:17, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
