Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to 2020 coronavirus pandemic in New York (state), did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. BFDIBebble (talk) 17:57, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits reverted by BFDIBebble -- Special:Diff/953715101 -- look to have been in good faith, and I don't see what was particularly objectionable about them. (But I'm not involved in that article beyond trying to sort out some figures and calculations, so what do I know?) I hate boiler plate reversion messages in cases like this as they give you no indication where the issue lies. BFDIBebble has been blocked (for abusing Wikipedia's policy on the use of multiple accounts) so you can't ask them. Opening Talk:2020 coronavirus pandemic in New York (state)#Police and crime as you did was the correct response. If you don't get any response there and you feel the section is still in need of improvement, then go ahead and do your best. WP:BRD.
Behind-the-scenes Wikipedia is a weird place -- it can seem welcoming and nurturing at times and hostile and combative at others -- and we have lots of processes for working through issues to arrive at eventual WP:Consensus. Do continue, as you have, to engage with other editors on article and user talk pages and start from the assumption that those editors are working toward the same goal of improving this encyclopedia. Sign your talk page edits with four tildes (~~~~) and Welcome to Wikipedia. Cheers! -- ToE 16:39, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
