Any other accounts?

[edit]

Hello, I'm Zhangj1079. I noticed that you seemed to be editing with source editor, and in a knowledgeable way of how source editor works. Normally this would mean you have edited under other account(s). Please declare them immediately. Thank you. Zhangj1079 (T|C) 13:01, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Vince Thompson (author) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Yobtar1, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Blocked as a sockpuppet

Request reason:

I've learned that the authentic use of Wikipedia requires one narrative and this has been my priority number one. I opened account Mastertake at first but didn't provide an email address and was locked out. The only account I've used since then was ThreeSisters, the page I opened on June 18th, 2017. I maintained editing continuity, which improved Wikipedia context and increased information and trust. I believe it helps to build long-term communal support and references to Wikipedia audiences. Also, I believe the block would be affecting individual communities, Ukrainian speaking audiences and creative minds that need to have translations and access to a worldwide encyclopedia where people share their knowledge with millions of individuals. There is a Columbia University Ukrainian club that requested to translate certain pages, and I will only be able to edit after my block is removed. The reasons for maintaining one account is reasonable and fair and my biggest priority to follow the rules and policy of the trusted source of Wikipedia administration and authorities. Thank you.

Decline reason:

This doesn't mention the account, Yobtar1 (talk · contribs), at all. Yamla (talk) 11:16, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have used one account as I am simply a volunteer and edit some articles upon request from the Columbia University Alumni Club or other communities like Y Combinator or non-profit organization Fractured Atlas. Is Yobtar1 a Wikipedia administrator? Can you provide information on us being one person? I'd like to investigate this with your supervisor to make sure my account is unblocked in good faith. I have an MFA in Creative Producing and I have writing skills and help society and charitable organizations. I have never met Yobtar1 and I have never used Yobtar1 account's editing system. If you'd like my personal information, I'll be glad to provide to you for evidence, authority and visibility to the public

Decline reason:

The technical connection to Yobtar1's sockfarm is only moderately evident, but looking though the list of pages you created - and the content you created them with - it's very clear that you were either recreating articles with a new account or acting in consort with Yobtar1 and friends. To claim otherwise, as you do so above, is disingenuous: even without the technical similarities it is obvious that you and Yobtar1 are either the same person or are working together.
