Excuse me? I was just starting an article, but it was sourced to the New York ttimes and the Wall Street Journal and it is the lead story on the evening news. Please restore the text and I will continue editing the article in a few hours.. But I do not like the way it looks on my talk page, as though I create irresponsible articles. And, really, Unsourced? two of the nation's leading newspapers?AMuseo (talk) 22:35, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: List of WinkBros Episodes
Hi Thorncrag, I've declined you WP:CSD#A9 nomination of List of WinkBros Episodes because, as the criterion states, "This criterion does not apply to other forms of creative media, products, or any other types of articles." In this case, we're talking about videos, not musical recordings. Feel free to AfD, PROD, etc. if you still think it qualifies for deletion. Regards, Airplaneman ✈ 00:31, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- No need to PROD it, I've already done so. --AussieLegend (talk) 06:36, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion request declined
Hi Thorncrag, I declined your speedy deletion request for Close to the Edge (band), as it is not a duplication of Close to the Edge at all—the former is about a tribute band, while the latter is about the studio album. Dabomb87 (talk) 23:06, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Personally, I think coverage of this event exceeded the actual news worthiness of it. I also think that it's coverage was heightened by media people wanting to make a point... eg create a news story where one doesn't really exist. That being said, I removed the PROD that you placed on this story. While I don't like it, it has gathered a ton of coverage and interest. I don't know if it would survive and AFD, but believe it should be vetted by the community rather than a few individuals. Personally, I won't nom it for AFD, but wanted to let you know.---Balloonman NO! I'm Spartacus! 07:23, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not going to touch it anymore. Even though it is a patent case of a one-time event which has already disappeared from the news because everyone realized it was just a drunk moron, if the community wants to keep it outside of the guidelines then who am I to argue? 19:16, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Jay Leno title card.
No problem - Just saw this or I would have explained earlier, sorry. The editor apparently mocked up his own title card - nowhere is that particular card to be found. And he insists on using it - over and over - and I was the first to warn him.
Thanks for the note. Kind regards. --Manway (talk) 05:26, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
Alright. Got that. A lot of people do seem to find that as an issue when giving me permissions, I understand why. I'll probably re-apply in December or January. I had hoped you could overlook how new I was by my answers to the question but it really doesn't matter. Mr. R00t Talk 02:51, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

- I don't think he's actually reading his talk page. Eeekster (talk) 04:08, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- Indeed that seems true; nevertheless, I am making an honest effort to help, so if the editor continues to disrupt then the account will be ripe for blocking.... 04:09, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- I'm actually now wondering if this is a case of ESL. 04:24, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe so. But that would also make writing an article a bit tough as well. Eeekster (talk) 04:27, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Abuse again from binksternet
Greetings. I would like to report I have been having trouble with user Binksernet.
- I edited an article about the Wife acceptance factor in which he kept vandalising my edits. I discussed this and explained why it was called a wife acceptance factor.
- The user abused his privilages and incorrectly marked me for vandalism supposedly this was a mistake.
- violated a 3rr and engaged in MANY edit wars not just with me but other users
- I'm not familiar with wiki but enough is enough and I'm taking a stand against this thug. You can see he has a history of abuse and NEEDS to be stopped. Currently he is vandalising my edits on the wife acceptance factor page.
- has edited out criticisms so they have not been seen.

Any help you can give to solve this situation would be appreciated. Also note I have tried to make peace with the user and concede to his overly PC views but he has not even compromised NOR apologised. The person needs to be stopped. 123.243.203.94 (talk) 10:23, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Satam Maharaj
Hello Thorncrag. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Satam Maharaj, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not very short, and context can be discerned - though with difficulty. Thank you. ϢereSpielChequers 07:53, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
Telugu is a Dravidian language
the reverter is a vandal. there is no dispute. fyi
this paragraph, you are reverting says,
According to famous linguist Chenchiah, Telugu is Vikriti, that is a language formed by modification of Sanskrit and Prakrit. It would appear that Andhras adopted a form of Prakrit, which, in course of development, became the immediate ancestor of Telugu.[8]
sanskrit, prakrit are INDO EUROPEAN languages NOT DRAVIDIAN. therefore the SOURCED sentence is COMPLETE NONSENSE.
THERE IS NO NEED TO IMPLEMENT THINGS LIKE INDO EUROPEAN LANGUAGES INTO THE ARTICLE
BTW THE TELUGU LANGUAGE HAS THE LARGEST DRAVIDIAN COMMUNITY. THERE IS NO NEED FOR A SOURCE FOR IT. YOU CAN EASILY SEE THIS IN THE INDIAN CENSUS PAPERS. VERY OFFICIAL.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.112.212.62 (talk • contribs) 00:06, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
- Please block 84.112.212.62.
- Telugu is hypothetically classified as Dravidian. It has very heavy Indo-Aryan influence which is seen in whole telugu literature. Telugu split from proto-dravidian in 1500 BC. So Sanskrit and prakrit influence cannot be ignored —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.169.187.182 (talk) 11:07, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
- The earliest mention of the Andhras is said to be in Aitereya Brahmana (2000 B.C.). It indicates that the Andhras, originally an Aryan race living in north India migrated to south of the Vindhyas and later mixed with non-Aryans. Regular history of Andhra Desa, according to historians, begins with 236 B.C., the year of Ashoka's death. During the following centuries, Satavahanas, Sakas, Ikshvakus, Eastern Chalukyas, Kakatiyas ruled the Telugu country.
You are correct...
And assuming good faith only goes so far (I think I have reached that point). Lesson learned, and thank you for trying to point it out. Best, Robert ROBERTMFROMLI TALK/CNTRB 08:52, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
AN/I report
Thank you for your submission! I hope you don't mind that I added more info, and fixed some spelling errors. Best! MJ94 (talk) 22:12, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
- That's what I get for pasting from Notepad++ with no spell check! Fortunately, it did not degrade the overall quality of the post. :-D 22:21, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks and aware of the discussion. I will try to provide my input as time permits, but I am now a day late from taking a six hour drive upstate. Best, ROBERTMFROMLI TALK/CNTRB 22:23, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
