Why I quit wikipedia![edit]
Today, I quit wikipedia. Since February, roughly every other edit I have attempted was met with a "range block" or an "autoblock" of AOL addresses instituted by curps. A review of my contributions will show that nothing I have posted to wikipedia could be construed as vandalism. Last night, I requested that a range block be removed and received a reply from pgk accusing me of ignorance. Although the explanation for last night's block stated "vandalbot on this AOL IP range, sorry," pgk said I was wrong to believe that anyone at wikipedia knew that the address belonged to AOL, to think that it was a range block instead of a specific address block, or to think that curps blocked an IP range. Clearly, curps own explanation proves pgk wrong. I would discuss this with curps or pgk, but curps has again blocked an AOL IP address. The final insult was when I tried to edit my own user page a few minutes ago and found that curps blocked that as well.
Since wikipedia does not want AOL users to edit, I will stop trying. I would close this account, but I am blocked from that as well.
