A tag has been placed on Blink Me requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 18:08, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Blink Me, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

clearly fails notability per final paragraph, speedy delete per WP:IAR

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ukexpat (talk) 18:19, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Blink Me. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 18:19, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Blink Me, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Blink Me. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? ukexpat (talk) 21:37, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message on my talk page. There were two major problems with the article: first, it had no reliable sources to support the notability of the subject matter, see WP:N and WP:RS for the appropriate guidelines. Second, the article was about a future event, and without reliable sources is not verifiable, see WP:V and WP:CRYSTAL. If these problems cannot be resolved, then the article does not belong on WP at the moment, though it could at a future date. As for Start the Machine, the fact that other stuff exists is not an argument against deletion, but in any event that article has references. One option may be for you to create the article as a subpage of your user page so that you can work on it there without fear of it being deleted. Let me know if you like me to set that up for you. – ukexpat (talk) 13:21, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, because I assume this is you, you have a huge conflict of interest with respect to all matters related to the band. – ukexpat (talk) 13:42, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
