Speedy deletion nomination of National Lobster Day

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as National Lobster Day, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

- So, either the policy on what constitutes a "hoax" to Wikipedia is very odd and unclear, or hundreds of restaurants and food blogs were in on this hoax as they sent out email campaigns, posted all over Facebook and their blogs about their National Lobster Day thoughts and specials, etc. Even a quick Google search turns up thousands of references, including news articles on CNN and a Hallmark calendar-reference page. So I guess I'm a little confused concerning this action...

The article National Science Fiction Day has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- One 6 year old article on a website does not mean that this holiday actually exists.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
