Double redirects

[edit]

In case you didn't see, just wanted to let you know that your edit to LA Priest from February created what's called a double redirect (a redirect to another redirect page). As that page explains, the way Wikipedia is coded means that those don't work properly and are to be avoided. The error has already been corrected, but it would help for you to know so you can avoid making the same mistake in the future. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 14:40, 11 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thanks so far! What I was thinking, however, was that if Samuel Eastgate was going to be created as a proper article one day, LA Priest would still redirect to Late of the Pier and there is no way for the creator to directly see and adjust the unideal redirect. Is there a rationale for situations like these? -- ThoRr Talk 11:53, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
