My classmate, Olivier P. Sarkozy
Hello Tgeairn,
Thanks for your message. You are correct, I should have cited my source when I wrote that Olivier Sarkozy went to Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire. I have never written on Wikipedia before and am wondering if you can assist me. I attended Phillips Exeter Academy with Olivier P. Sarkozy. I am looking at his picture and information now in the Exeter Facebook (where Mark Zuckerberg got the idea for Facebook, as he attended the school as well). Anyway, Olivier was a senior at Phillips Exeter in the 1985-1986 school year. I am not sure how to cite my source, however, since the general public does not have access to Exeter Facebooks, and that year's Facebook is long out of print. I could photo copy the page and send it in, but that might be invasive for Mr. Sarkozy. Also, it is possible that Sarkozy attended British boarding schools in different years - I only know he was at Exeter in 1985-1986.
If you have suggestions on how I can properly cite this information, please let me know.
Thanks!

- Thanks for asking! Facebooks and Yearbooks are tricky, as they can be difficult to verify. However; there appear to be other sources for this information. This newsletter would likely be acceptable, and a quick google search turned up a Time magazine article as well. See WP:Citing sources for the syntax to use when creating the reference, or ask me here and I'll try to help. Cheers! --Tgeairn (talk) 23:36, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

Estonian Villages
Hi there, you've reverted my edit to Märjamaa with the edit summary 'HG'. I don't understand this, and the link doesn't help much. Can you let me know what rule I've broken here, as I don't understand the rule. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks very much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.220.83.204 (talk) 23:37, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hello, and thanks for asking. The edit summary I left is actually "rv commentary". The (HG) on the end refers to the tool I used when removing the content. Your addition appeared to be commentary on the content, rather than new (sourced) content. Feel free to respond here if you have any other questions! --Tgeairn (talk) 23:40, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks - I've dug up a source for it now - looks like the population figures for both Märjamaa and Märjamaa Parish articles are a bit out of date, so i've updated these too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.220.83.204 (talk) 23:49, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Vandalism on my talk page
I ask that you revert your vandalism to MY talk page. "Talk pages are for talking," that's good and fine, but who are you to dictate the terms of how I engage in that on my talk page? Who are you to dictate the format of my talk page? Do you get off on exerting authority over others? Revert your vandalism and leave me alone. I can do talking on my talk page as it was just fine. Do be aware that you and people like you (authoritarians on a witchhunt/censorship campaign) are exactly why admins and editors and general quality of wikipedia has nosedived over the past few years. Next time you look in the mirror, recall that statement. Try to remember that there is more to reality then your opinions and emotional reactions. NewGuy1001 03:09, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message. Please review WP:Vandalism and understand what is and is not vandalism before accusing others. On the subject of your talk page, you indicated to another editor that you are unable to see messages on your user talk page. I have corrected that problem. As for your other assertions about me and about this project, we are both doing just fine, thanks. --Tgeairn (talk) 03:14, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

Incorrect warning given to 201.160.148.103
Why did you give 201.160.148.103 a 4im warning for his edit to Chili con carne? The edit seemed to be made in good faith. by Kevin12cd Talk to me This was posted at 00:44, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
- It may be possible that the first or even second time the editor made the unsourced changes was in good faith, but 201's messages to other editors as well as the repeated disruption on Chili con carne needed a final warning. I probably could have selected a better message, but the "stop now" portion was what was wanted. Cheers! --Tgeairn (talk) 00:51, 3 December 2012 (UTC)

- Hello! No, citing yourself would be original research. As an encyclopedia, material added to this project needs to be verifiable in reliable sources. You will want to look for reliable third-party sources to source your additions, and then cite those sources. Thanks for asking! --Tgeairn (talk) 03:47, 10 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Geoffrey Edelsten, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page SMH (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Krishna Athal
Hi Tgeairn, I noticed that you had some dealings recently with the Krishna Athal article. When you get a chance, could you check the article and see if any of the maintenance templates no longer apply? An editor who appears to be associated with the subject keeps removing them but doesn't appear to be fixing the problems associated with them, but I don't want to revert again if there removed just in-case some don't apply or should be removed. Thanks. Cmr08 (talk) 05:43, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. Yes, I will take a look now. --Tgeairn (talk) 05:44, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- The article is still an orphan (no incoming links at all), but as it stands right now it doesn't look like the other tags apply. Many of the sources are self-published, but the article doesn't rely solely on those. Other sources are associated with the subject, but again the article isn't based too heavily on those. I am still left wondering if the subject is notable or not, but without reviewing each source I'm not going to propose deletion at WP:AfD. I am adding checking notability to my todo list though! Cheers! --Tgeairn (talk) 05:56, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for checking, I was kind of thinking the same as you on that one. The rest of the edit I reverted was just adding pov statements promoting the subject and butchering the manual of style so I think that part of the revert was ok. Cmr08 (talk) 20:07, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Annual Report
Thanks for the information relating the public viewing and public domain. As a newcomer, I am trying to get a better handle on how to include information. Is it possible to add information from the annual report on fair use ground? I also know that the same information is included in the organization's website. Should I cite that instead of the annual report?
Also, on the basis of Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers and WP:AGF, I feel harassed by Darkness_Shines. It will help if you can advise him. Thanks alot. Tariqmia (talk) 22:22, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hello, and thank you for asking. Regarding the material in the annual report, you can include your own wording of the content and then cite the report. The key concept here is to restate the material in your own words. When doing so, keep in mind that not everything needs to be in the article. Also, the report is what we refer to as a Primary Source. Whenever possible, we need to find reliable third-party sources to evaluate and provide context for the information. Articles should not rely solely or signficantly on primary sources.
- I recommend that you use the article talk page to get opinions on proposed additions while you get used to the whole process. If you like, feel free to drop me a note here if you propose something on the talk page - I will do my best to take a look and commment.
- As to your second point regarding DS, I request that you interpret anything said as attempting to communicate that we take copyright very seriously here. I will leave a note for DS pointing to this thread in case they wish to respond further.
- Thanks again, and Happy Editing! --Tgeairn (talk) 22:36, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello Tgeairn, sorry it took so long to get back to you concerning your post on my talk page. I must have overlooked it! I've put pending changes onto List of LGBT characters in film, radio, and TV fiction. The artist also needs to meet WP:MUSICBIO, which details the notability requirements for musicians and artists. Please provide sources in the article to show that those requirements are met.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would ask that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not on Nocturnal emission. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Do not pay attention to this. I am using this as a reason to not attack you, but I am upset that you beat me to revert vandalism. See, I'm doing a test and I need to revert 3 vandlism edits and I almost got my chance, but you were so fast to do it and my phone is so slow, so here is a fake warning of you not assuming good faith JHUbal27•Talk•E-mail 05:49, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
The Tea Leaf - Issue Seven (special Birthday recap)

Article Feedback deployment
Hey Tgeairn; I'm dropping you this note because you've used the article feedback tool in the last month or so. On Thursday and Friday the tool will be down for a major deployment; it should be up by Saturday, failing anything going wrong, and by Monday if something does :). Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 23:55, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
Freddy Schuman
I'm not sure how to cite something I know only from personal experience, but having marched in the parade 2008-2010, I know for a fact, having seen him there with my own two eyes, that Freddy was there cheering. I'd love to upload the pictures I have of him there, but this interface is mad convoluted and clearly designed to discourage new comers from contributing, much like your lightening-fast knee jerk deletion of my addition to the page.
Which I guess is to say this: Thanks so much for policing my innocent observation that Freddy liked to go the St. Patrick's Day Parade in NYC! God forbid that such unverified information be available to the public for even a full minute. Way to go, oh officer of wikipedia law! I'm sure it must be a blast to be so important on the internets. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.200.237.99 (talk) 03:42, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for you comments. If you can find a reliable source for Freddy's appearances, please feel free to either drop a note here or on the article talk page and someone will be along shortly to update the article. Alternatively, you can feel free to review WP:Citing sources and add the cited passage yourself. Happy editing --Tgeairn (talk) 03:50, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

Roid Calc
Hello, I'm Arnowt
I think that this link should be on every page with a description of any medical esters. It helps to understand the saturation in the body by these substances. RoidCalc help many novice athletes not to make mistakes.

Ticket#2013012510001916
Hello Tgeairn,
I have a question about the Ticket#2013012510001916 about the notation box you have placed on Mir Ali's (engineer) page. I'd appreciate if you could reply back so we could discuss the issue.
Regards, RIma25 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.126.28.27 (talk) 13:49, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
- Hello! I see that you have been doing quite a bit of work on the Mir Ali (engineer) article. What can I help you with?
- Cheers, Tgeairn (talk) 03:19, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
Thanks Tgearin for your response. As you could see, on the Mir Ali (engineer) article, a notation box has been placed for a long time. It is basically asking for some modifications of the article, but unfortunately does not give specifics as what those modifications have to be. I would be grateful if you could let me know the specific further actions that need to be carried out; therefore, the notation box could be removed permanently.
Thank you,
