The Stephen Thompson page change is not vandalism. Please check the talk pages for details on his fight record. Thank you.

No but his fight record on the UFC website list's his kickboxing record as 57-0, not 20-0 and I have credible sources to prove this.

The UFC record says "Combined" which is a reference to his amateur record, and professional record. His amateur record is 37-0-1, and his professional record is 20-0.

http://www.ikfkickboxing.com/StephenThompsonAMKB.htm It says right here he retired in 2004 with a 37-0-1. If his professional record is 57-0, why would there be any reference to combined? Fighters don't report combined records unless it means a difference in ruleset. According to the martial arts project, his amateur record isn't even required reported. But if it is to be reported, it has to be separate category. Hence the amateur kickboxing record under professional mma record.

I also found this on his official IKF page: http://www.ikfkickboxing.com/StephenThompsonPROMMA.htm

(*) Correction on Thompson's overall fight record
Thompson retired as an amateur fighter in May of 2004 with a record of *37 wins and 0 losses with 18 KO/TKO's.
As a Pro Kickboxer Thompson was *20-0 with 10 Knockouts
As a Pro MMA Fighter, after his recent win this past weekend at UFC 143, he is now 6-0.
Overall, Thompson has gone *63-0 with 30 of his wins coming by Knockout.
(*) 4 bouts were missing from Thompson's Amateur Kickboxing record from the WAKO World Championships which Thompson won in 2005.
(*) 2 bouts were missing from

Thompson's Pro Kickboxing record from the now defunct World Combat League. http://www.ikfkickboxing.com/StephenThompsonPROMMA.htm

Given what you just said here, if his record is here on this link that I have provided up above says that and I quote that he "amassed a record of 57-0" then why would there be a need for a "Professional Kickboxing" subheading, an "Amateur Kickboxing" subheading, and a "Pro Mixed Martial Arts" subheading if it's a "Combined Record" of both his Professional Kickboxing and his Amateur Kickboxing? It just doesn't make sense to have both subheadings then and this is the references that the administration have provided for this page.

I'm doing that because I'm actually a fan. The Wikipedia martial arts portal states that an amateur record is not required to be posted at all. So that would mean the only required record would be his 20-0 kickboxing record. Again, the UFC site claims a "combined" 57-0 record. There's no reason for his record to be mentioned as combined unless it's a reference to different rulesets. Boxers, Kickboxers and MMA fighters don't display their records as separate if they participate in different promotions. A boxer who has fought under the WBO and WBA would never say "Well I'm 5-1 WBO, and 6-2 WBA" because both are professional leagues. They still fall under the umbrella of professional boxing. Amateur and professional kickboxing have drastic ruleset differences and levels of competition, and that's why it's important to separate them.

Every fighters record display on this site is separated by ruleset. It is based on the intention of the project. People fight in different rulesets, and that should be acknowledged. Especially if they have high level experience in more than one discipline. Search the Wikis on Francois Botha, Alistair Overeem, Andy Hug, and more.

I'm willing to accept a removal of his amateur record display. However, that doesn't change the fact that his kickboxing record (which would be his professional record per the wiki project) would be 20-0.

Your ignorance just shows that you as well as the many people claim to be a fan of Stephen Thompson shows that you're really not and the fact that you try to twist fact to further your own agenda just proves that you indeed a liar and one who wants nothing more than to marginalized true kickboxing talent even when the truth is hitting hit in the face. https://fightgamenow.com/fighters/stephen-thompson/

This link is Stephen Thompson's own instagram account and (his words not mine) that he says that he has a 57-0 kickboxing record. The 20-0 kickboxing record does not even support the statements you've made in your previous comments.

Instagram is official, but a link from the International Kickboxing Federation isn't? The IKF link displays his entire record up until his earliest fights in the UFC. I'm not undermining the number of fights he has. I'm only specifying the type of competition it falls under. There is literally no reason to say "Combined" unless it's a reference to different rulesets. Why would anyone specify their record between organizations under the same ruleset?

Why would 57-0 even be the number if his amateur record wasn't included? Wouldn't he claim his record as 94-0 combined? And if I was a fake fan, wouldn't I just put 20-0, and not even acknowledge his 37-0 amateur record? It's not even required to be posted, and yet I went through the pain of adding the code.

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - TempestdadTalk
