Please don't mass-remove dead links. It's much better to have a dead link than no source at all, as those links could often be fixed or at least provide an indication of where to find the source (see WP:KDL). Please let me know if you have any more questions. Elli (talk | contribs) 20:04, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ok i will follow however i am first checking if the article is available somewhere else, only then i am removing them. Thesaurus001 (talk) 20:08, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Elli How can i become a Wiki administrator? Thesaurus001 (talk) 20:15, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Even if the articles aren't available elsewhere, it doesn't necessarily make sense to remove unless you can find a replacement source. As for becoming an administrator, you apply at requests for adminship, but you generally need to have a long editing track record to be successful. Like how long? and any shortcut like i was removing dead links and it was being counted as my edits. Any similar editing task to ensure a long editing record? Thesaurus001 (talk) 20:18, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's generally not a good idea to edit just for the sake of having a high edit count. There's lots and lots of cleanup tasks to do though, such as finding citations for uncited claims. Elli (talk | contribs) 02:02, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
